Invincible
DJ Bobo Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Don't believe you are invincible
Don't believe you are the best of all times
Don't forget where you're from
When your fortune is gone
You wake up, lived a dream
You're not invincible

No way success is on place one, not two
Nothing else counts it seems to be true
No clue what you do, better help yourself
It's all about money, no one cares about you
Here one day, gone one night
You see people twice in your life and they bite not quite
Alright, but there might be a fight
Never forget what's wrong, what's right

Sometimes you forget
Fame is just a gift, take it day by day
Sometimes you forget
You're living in a world, heading far away

Don't fly to high, the landing is tough enough
To rough for you, come back to reality
Madness, to believe you're the hero
Grow up, show up, time for you to wake up
The road is going down the other side of the hill
Keep your feet on the ground - don't kill but
Chill - with all due modesty
Nobody's perfect, don't you agree

One day you're up, one day you're down
Seems like a kingdom but there is no crown

Today you are in, tomorrow you're out
There's no need to cry, there's no need to shout

Overall Meaning

DJ Bobo's song Invincible is a cautionary tale about chasing fame and fortune, reminding listeners not to forget their roots and stay grounded. The opening lines of the song warn against believing in one's invincibility and being the best of all time, emphasizing the importance of humility. The lyrics encourage listeners not to be blinded by success and wealth, but to remember who they are and where they came from.

The chorus of the song acknowledges that fame and fortune can be ephemeral, and that it's important to take each day as it comes. The second verse warns of the dangers of thinking only about money and neglecting oneself, and the bridge advises against getting caught up in hero worship and instead suggests growing up and waking up to reality. The final verse reminds listeners that success is not permanent and can be fleeting, and that it's important to maintain perspective and not get too caught up in the ups and downs of life.

Overall, DJ Bobo's Invincible is a thoughtful meditation on the nature of success and fame, reminding listeners not to forget who they are and to stay grounded in the face of adversity.

I really liked the song. In general, I like that almost every song of DJ Bobo has a sense, and not just a set of words to the music. Basically every song has a message to people, "respect yourself," "control your life," "life goes on" ... I also like that there are people of different nationalities in the show. Like that DJ Bobo is simple, close to people, kind and down-to-earth. I like how he communicates with the people. On his show you feel like a part of this show. That's why I like watching his show, listening to music, because there is something to think about. Thank you for that! ))
