DJ Buck (born Kuyumptiwa Kopavi Grok Tinkelman) moved to San Francisco from New York while he was still in grade school. By 1994, he became one of the original members of Third Floor Productions along with Leaf label. In 2001, Buck relocated to Los Angeles to team up with Tango, Westbound and Tweekin labels.
