DJ Clive$ter - 40 years old DJ from Vienna. Growing up in New York City in the 80's his biggest influence from NYC was Rap and Electronic music. When Clive$ter moved back to Austria he almost immediately started working as a DJ in various Austrian clubs until in 1991 when he finally switched sides and worked for over 10 years for various record companies in Austria. During this time Clive$ter co-produced some records until he completely turned his back to music biz and started Clive$ter's own company (advertising agency). That's what Clive$ter does now - but of course Clive$ter couldn't resist music biz for as long and so most of his current clients are in this business... Former LEO here. Here's a simple solution to this for the little lady: Never voluntarily allow anyone to search your property - person, vehicle, house, etc. If the officer says they have a right to search you or your property, don't fight it (even if you don't think they're in the right), but continually state that you do not consent to any searches.

Exercise your right to both remain silent AND have an attorney present. YOU NEED TO TELL THE OFFICER(S) THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE DOING. Just staying quiet can appear to be "uncooperative" (like it or not, it is what it is) and "interfering with an investigation." So, tell the officer(s) that's what you're doing every single time they ask you a question - "I'm exercising my right to remain silent, and not answer any questions without my lawyer."
DO NOT answer some questions, and not others. The moment you start answering questions, some courts will say you've forfeited your right to silence.

FOR THE OFFICERS:

Simple solution: Take the pen and ID cards. Shred the ID cards and trash everything. Log it into your system under her Name and DOB, and SSN too if you have it. Tell her if she gets caught with either again, she will certainly be charged because she's already had her warning.

EDIT: WHY DO THIS TO SOMEONE? YOU EVEN SAID YOURSELF YOU KNEW SHE WASN'T A BAD KID.

This young lady was not a dangerous person, nor a criminal. She doesn't even have the stomach for trouble. You have just potentially ruined her life by charging her with a felony - it is a question she will have to answer on every single job application for the rest of her life if she's convicted of it. Why would you want to do that to someone you know isn't someone society needs to be protected from?

This kind of garbage is what gives LEOs a bad reputation.
This is why people are gradually falling away from supporting Law Enforcement as a whole.
This is how bad LEO's make decent people into career criminals, or otherwise products of the system. Doing something like this takes away a ton of life's opportunities she may have had to make a decent living on her own.

She was 4+ people in a car without proper paperwork, so the cops don't know who she actually was. At the very least she has to be thoroughly background checked and cleared. All the charges were dropped once they realized the full story. However illegally abusing 3+ substances also ruins people's lives.

You were not paying attention. They stopped the car because the plates showed that the vehicle was towed and marked as abandoned. Then while waiting for her father, the owner, to show up, they asked "Can I search your car", which they have no reason to except that they had nothing else to do while waiting for her dad to show up. She said "OK, fine" even though she had the fake IDs on her.

They weren't hunting for kids with fake ids, they rightly stopped the car because its plates were flagged. The way it could have played out, and should have, is that her dad shows up, shows his ID and car registration and then the cops say "OK, we'll confirm in our system that the car is not abandoned" and then everyone goes home.

The cops didn't force her to get fake IDs, but once they saw them they were duty bound to act on it.
