After listening to other mashups i realize how good this mashup is. I think the secret to its success is that there's an actual structure. There is a part that keeps coming back; a sort of chorus... the part where it goes "Blame it on the pop, blame it on the dance, blame it on the rock and roll". Most mashups lack this sort of structure. It's just such an amazing mashup, and nostalgia only makes it better each year!!

My first son passed away in 2009. I couldn't listen to these songs for years. It brings tears to my eyes now, in a whole different way. In the moment, the pain was insurmountable. 12 years later, it's become a reminder of how far we can go, despite the despair. To find this song on a day like any other, reminds me that my son is sitting somewhere, smiling. I hope he's thankful his dad did something with his life, rather than sit in sorrow. Time is like a paycheck, the only difference is you don't know how much you were given until you've spent it all. Spend wisely friends.

Just a year or two out of college. First time I ever had a couple extra dollars in my pocket. The same three bars every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. On a boat all summer. Not the best days of my life, but certainly the most care free. Have never felt so invincible and this mix brings such an incredibly unique kind of serotonin other music has never given.
