The Truth
DJ Jus-Ed Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

How come you never said?
You're like me
It was there to see
Is it true?
Have I got this right?
It strikes me
You've been hidden in plain sight
And as much as I've enjoyed brief chats I've had with you
I wish you'd felt as though you had nothing to lose
And as much as I've enjoyed brief times I've spent with you
How can I reminisce when not everything was true?
The truth is, I guess it's come too late
The truth is, I don't know what to say
I wish I'd noticed before today
I wish you the best, now I'm going away
And I know that you might say it's pessimistic
Not optimistic, and untrue
We're in a lose-lose situation
I'm off to uni, miles away from you
And as much as I've enjoyed brief chats I've had with you
I wish you'd felt as though you had nothing to lose
And as much as I've enjoyed brief times I've spent with you
How can I reminisce when not everything was true?
The truth is, I guess it's come too late
The truth is, I don't know what to say
I wish I'd noticed before today
I wish you the best, now I'm going away
If you'd said before
Then I wouldn't be saying these lines
If only we could go back in time
And of course we text
And of course we can Skype
In my mind, I'll be at your side
But it's not realistic
There'd be too much on the line
I think you should find another guy
The truth is, I guess it's come too late
The truth is, I don't know what to say

I wish I'd noticed before today
I wish you the best, now I'm going away

Can't believe this mix is 10 years old next year. Mature music for mature minds.

So good. So underrated, big up this guy - its all about the deep winding grooves with the gentle, toned percussion. So good on vinyl

man, awesome set!

any other day or time

looks like he was playing from the start of the night/party, the place starts to fill up about half way through, quite a lot of people dancing by the end as well (which is quite rare for a BoilerRoom crowd ;) ).
