They then went into recording their own music on the legendary Suburban-Base record label releasing THE RUSH under the name "KROMOZONE".
Their next release was under the name TIMEBASE & KROMOZONE and was the highly collectable FIREBALL & UNITY the latter which was sampled by DJ LUCK & MC NEAT on the garage anthem "A LITTLE BIT OF LUCK".
After this came the rave anthems "THIS SOUND IS FOR THE UNDERGROUND" & MANIC STAMPEDE. By this time they were doing dj/mc sets up and down the country and abroad and also doing lots of remix work.
Their fourth release was one of the biggest tunes of 1993 THE SLAMMER.
Krome & Time then set up their own label "TEARIN VINYL" which they released two of the biggest Jungle tunes of 1994 "THE LICIENCE" & "GANJA MAN".
KROME AND TIME are still doing dj/mc sets up and down the uk & abroad.

For so long, so long
I've been off that track
There's a mystery in that and it's strong
Once more I'm asking for your time
A few between the two then I'm gone
Don't think I'll be coming back
I'm not coming back
Aren't where we're supposed to be
We're lost somewhere on the seventh sea
I found Time, yes, I thought I did
You slipped away, yeah, you slipped my grip
So this day that I stood my ground
Yeah, wait for Old Man Time
Once again, the day's flown by
On a journey roads get hot, so hot
I'm walking around unclothed, I'm heated to the bone
I'm bare boned, bare boned
I'm thrown, dethroned again
I missed the man by a minute again
But next time gonna have my shot
You gonna see me with Time
It seems me, you and me
Where we're supposed to be
We're lost somewhere on a seventh sea
I found Time, yes, I thought I did
You slipped away, yeah, you slipped my grip
So this day that I stood my ground
You saw me lost but forget it I'm found
Right here at the Black Rock, lay your cards down
Wait for Old Man Time
Oh, I tracked you down Old Man
When I walk at night I see you and I follow you Old Man
But the Black Rock is never too far away
I'm dying just to hear what you say
So next time that I come round
Gonna see me with Time
It seems me, you and me
Where we're supposed to be
We're lost somewhere on a seventh sea
I found Time, yes, I thought I did
You slipped away, yeah, you slipped my grip
So this day that I stood my ground
You saw me lost but forget it I'm found
Right here at the Black Rock, lay your cards down
Old Man Time
You're not too far for me
I've waited my whole life
For just a minute to see
The lyrics of DJ Krome & Mr Timeโs song Ganja Man express a feeling of being lost and searching for something or someone, though itโs not entirely clear what or who that is. The opening line โOh, I have been falling again for so long, so longโ sets a melancholic tone, suggesting that the singer has been struggling with something for a while. The line โOnce more Iโm asking for your time, a few between the two then Iโm goneโ could be interpreted as a plea for help or guidance.
The theme of time is central to the song, as suggested by the artistsโ monikers. They seem to be searching for Old Man Time, who is a figure of wisdom and guidance. The line โI found Time, yes, I thought I did, you slipped away, yeah, you slipped my gripโ suggests a frustration at not being able to hold onto the wisdom and guidance that Old Man Time represents.
The lyrics are also sprinkled with references to the sea, which can be interpreted as a symbol of lifeโs journey and the many paths that one can take. The line โWeโre lost somewhere on the seventh seaโ suggests a feeling of being adrift and uncertain of oneโs place in the world. Ultimately, the song is a plea for guidance and a yearning to find oneโs way.
