I read an interview with Steven Segal where he talked about how he would hit stunt men for real. And his justification for it was, "If they were real martial artists, they should be fast enough to not get hit."
That always bugged me. As a high ranking martial artist (fifth or sixth degree black belt in aikido at the time), it's actually HIS responsibility to control his moves so he doesn't hurt the people he's working with.

@T-bone Sticky Fingers Lol! He probably has issues with authority due to unresolved childhood issues. Although he read the initial comment incorrectly, to get upset or question the person making reference in regards to the statement, as a high ranking martial artist, in a disdainful manner shows that there may be lingering issues as it pertains to people of any type of status, authority or ranking. He's probably the type of person to do the opposite of what is requested of him to prove that he can't be controlled and told what to do. I could be wrong.

I love MJW. He has never been given the credit he fully deserves. He is a top rate fighter/actor and a genuine great guy. He is in 50's and he still looks like a man half his age.

MJW is great but he is a fairly uncharismatic actor. It's easier to make a movie star look like a great martial artist than it is to make a great martial artist look like a good actor.
