Fame
DJ Noize & B.o.B Lyrics

I will be Hall of Fame
I wanna be the one to make the play
I wanna be the one they say my name
I wanna be the one get in the game
By the time I’m done I’ll be Hall of Fame
I always wanted my name on a chain
My mind was trapped had to break out that chain
Stuck in the cycle life was filled with pain
I had a break through now shit ain’t the same
I just been working I been in the gym
I’m really trynna live above the rim
People told me that my chances was slim
Let it stop me once won’t let it again
Final stretch I see my goals at the end
I'm bout to take off no need to pretend
Just come to this side if you on the fence
Aaron Donald when I am on defense
I think my presence got some of y’all tense
I am chosen so it only makes sense
See the future like it was my 6th sense
My words are solid these bitches are dense
Forced the turnover now I’m on offense
Watch me put 6 on the board
I’m about to top the billboard
Surfing the beat need a board
I’m bout even the score
Get it right back go up more
Know I been working of course
Now I made it out the obstacle course
I wanna be the one to make the play
I wanna be the one they say my name
I wanna be the one get in the game
By the time I’m done I’ll be Hall of Fame
I always wanted my name on a chain
My mind was trapped had to break out that chain
Stuck in the cycle life was filled with pain
I had a break through now shit ain’t the same
I told you I am titan
Watch me change half of the world just like Thanos
Smoking on cookies no Amos
I am only here to balance the game
Show the people that your lane is your lane
Now look at me on a different plane
I took seat started using my brain
Took a second formulated a plan
Made a promise that I will be the man
Hit my nigga Major 88
Told em that I’m on the way
Recorded a hit now we are on our way
Told my people we are gonna get paid
I really been dreaming bout better days
Working so hard that I feel like a slave
Finally made it got up out of the maze
Now look at me I am on center stage
I cannot stop and I will not be phased
I see the hater I bet they amazed
I will make the play I will win game
I wanna be the one to make the play
I wanna be the one they say my name
I wanna be the one get in the game
By the time I’m done I’ll be Hall of Fame
I always wanted my name on a chain
My mind was trapped had to break out that chain

Stuck in the cycle life was filled with pain
I had a break through now shit ain’t the same

Overall Meaning

In the song "Fame" by DJ Noize and B.o.B, the artists explore the concept of fame and its effects on people's lives. The lyrics imply that fame can be both desired and destructive. The song suggests that people change when they become famous and that those around them may not like the changes. There's also the idea that many people want to be famous, but not all of them can handle the pressures and scrutiny that come with it. The chorus repeats the word "fame" several times, highlighting its allure and hypnotic effect.

One stanza of the song alludes to the negative aspects of fame. The lyric "If you witnessed the condition that my brain is in/ You would see me in hell where Satan is," suggests that the pressures of fame have taken a toll on the artist's mental health. Similarly, the lyric "look its plain to see/ Ain't nothin' in this games gon' be changin' me," suggests that the artist has observed the negative effects of fame on other people but is determined to stay true to himself.

Overall, "Fame" is a cautionary tale about the pitfalls of success and the impact it can have on people's lives.
