@Mike John Wick has some of the best attention-to-detail of any franchise. I'm sure the dialect coach they paid a shit load of money to was satisfied she sounded genuine enough to not ruin the movie

''I don't know why there's so much blood in this slasher movie, the human body doesn't hold that much. It's really cringe"

"Why is the dog talking in this kid's movie? Dogs don't talk, cringe"

"Why is everyone waiting to fight the good guy one at a time? They'd Mob him in real life. Cringe. "

"Why can the blind martial artist masterfully kill a room full of guys? Being blind in real life would disadvantage him. Cringe. "

"How come they're in a pitch black cave but we can clearly see the action? No real light source, cringe"

She did a good job with the role and played the character well, if her accent isn't perfect I couldn't care less. It's a movie, liberties are taken, you don't need to be convinced of the reality of every moment to be invested.

I found a better explanation.
This is a quote attributed to Dante Aligheri who wrote Inferno, which inspired the videogame Dante's Inferno.

Although this is thought to be a direct quote from his book Inferno, there is apparently no evidence of that. Rather, someone says the statement is meant to describe in general terms a passage of the book.

"The passage is basically Dante asking the angel Virgil to lead him to heaven's gates. Virgil begins explaining to him how they will need to first pass through the gates of hell and conquer what lies beyond them before they can reach heaven. The path to paradise begins in hell."

Dante's Inferno was mentioned earlier in the New York Public Library scene, where Ernest was reading from the book out loud, and he then stated Dante's name and we saw him holding Inferno. Here's the that quote:
Consider your origin: you were not made to live like brutes, but to follow virtue and knowledge.’

This sentiment is also in the trailer song. "To be willing to march into Hell for a heavenly cause."

" I said: ‘O my brothers, who have reached the west, through a thousand dangers, do not deny the brief vigil, your senses have left to them, experience of the unpopulated world beyond the Sun. Consider your origin: you were not made to live like brutes, but to follow virtue and knowledge.’ With this brief speech I made my companions so eager for the voyage, that I could hardly have restrained them, and turning the prow towards morning, we made wings of our oars for that foolish flight, always turning south. "

This sentiment is also in the trailer song. "To be willing to march into Hell for a heavenly cause."

The anger behind “you are bound, and I am owed” is beautiful.

Nikki Middle Kills Day

He's given EVERYTHING to the life, the table, everyone. It's high time he started getting something back

CBunye

@Nikki Middle Kills Day Agreed. That entire life has drawn him back in and tried to take everything he had. Even the solace he received from his wife before she passed.

Yes, it was over a puppy, but if you truly think about it, that puppy’s death is the only innocent blood that spilled in the entire series, and symbolized John’s need to grieve and move on. When that was taken away by that upstart kid gangster wannabe that didn’t know any better, he demanded satisfaction the world he knew would respect: that young upstart gangster’s life.

Nikki Middle Kills Day

@CBunye yup, he had ONE condition to all the syndicates and assassins when he left; to be left alone

A

@CBunye Well put. That's exactly what John wanted only for the world to complicate it for him until the end.

JoJo gorilla

The fact that the next John Wick spin off will be about the girl that's dancing and will be played by ana del armas and gives us her name is pretty cool

Talha Rasool

All I know she better bring it like Charlize and Halle.

D e e D e e KReeP

Wait what? What spin off??? Haven't heard anything about that

Emmanuel Williams

@D e e D e e KReeP The Ballerina is the spin off movie currently in development. Ana De Armas will play the Ballerina. Also Starz will air The Continental.
