He is best known for his battle records and party-friendly mixtapes. Previously based out of Los Angeles, CA, he now resides in Las Vegas, Nevada. His mix tapes generally feature West Coast artists. He competed in the U.S. DMC DJ Championships in the early nineties. In 1991 he made it to the DMC US finals but was bested by DJ QBert. In 1993 he won the U.S DMC championship, the same year that he became the dj for West Coast rapper Warren G.

I remember seeing Rectangle in dallas, back in 99(eddie deans ranch venue)I think. And it was the first time I saw a DJ put his legs over the decks like that and scratch, it was mind blowing!

@Jay Werx I think it was just a little bit over people's heads at the time. Not many DJs were juggling like that in 1993. Body tricks and doing fast loops is what the crowd and judges favored.
