Sunlight
I'm drifting away somehow
by the presence of the morning sun
I'm falling into the night
as I can see you shining bright

Sunlight
I'm drifting away somehow
by the presence of the morning sun
I'm falling into the night
as I can see you shining bright

[2x]

Sunlight
Sunlight

I'm drifting away somehow
by the presence of the morning sun
I'm falling into the night
as I can see you shining bright

Sunlight
there's nothing like your warm embrace
it feels so right
shining on your sculptured face

Sunlight

Sunlight
there's nothing like your warm embrace
it feels so right
shining on your sculptured face

Sunlight

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to DJ Sammy's "Sunlight" describe the feeling of being entranced by the morning sun, and how it can make you feel both alive and connected to someone special. The line, "I'm falling into the night," can be interpreted to mean that, despite the brightness of the sun, the singer is still grappling with feelings of darkness and uncertainty. Yet, the presence of the person they are singing to ("as I can see you shining bright") provides hope and comfort.

The repeated use of the word "Sunlight" itself seems to carry a double meaning. On the one hand, it is a reference to the actual sun and the light it provides. On the other hand, it can be seen as a metaphor for the warmth and radiance of love. The line, "there's nothing like your warm embrace, it feels so right," seems to emphasize this aspect of the song's meaning.

Overall, "Sunlight" is a song about the power of love and light to lift us out of our darkest moments. It speaks to the universal human need for hope and connection, even in the face of adversity.

one of my favorite tracks from the disc. Sammy knocked it out of the park with exploding synth, and Loona is a miracle goddess in my ears.... They dont make songs like this anymore, and it is a crying shame, we all need this lift! Thank you Sammy and Loona! all my love always and forever.

I saw this song performed live by both of them in 2004. Was next to both of them. YouTube took my videos down. Too bad.

Wonderful summer tune, and all these trends of bringing out uplifting summer sounds became a tradition just as Christmas songs were. I would argue the summer sounds were much better. It all kicked off in the 1990s with all the Ibiza songs that were hitting the dancefloors
