DJ T.H.'s song Rainbow features lyrics that evoke a sense of hopelessness and a search for magical release. One interesting fact about the song is that Rainbow in the Dark was initially released as the second single from Dio's third studio album 'Holy Diver' in 1983. Statement from s3rl below about his change from hardcore music ย (this track isn't nightcore or hardcore btw it's FDM :P)
Way back when I first started making music I didn't know Happy Hardcore or UK hardcore even existed. I just liked dance music at faster BPMs and that's what I made. Years later when I did discover UK Hardcore I started taking influences and heading in that direction. I thought I sounded exactly the same as the UK stuff, that was my aim, but I've always had listeners of my music tell me that I've got a totally different sound and style.

So over the last couple of years I've been thinking "Why not just branch off and do my own thing?"

I definitely don't want to sell out and/or jump genres to something I think is more popular or will make more money. Almost the opposite. I want to move to a genre that has no following - by just making one up... Why a different BPM? I still like fast beats but don't want to be in the BPM range of hardcore for a few reasons; The main being that half my listeners put me the category they think suits (like Happy or UK Hardcore) and the other half complain because I've been put in a category they don't agree with. I've also had people tell me that I don't sound like UK or Happy Hardcore, so...? This way I'm in a relatively untouched genre/BMP range and can avoid all that. Another reason is that by taking it back to 'jogging speed' it'll make it much better to dance to for longer.

So basically the same S3RL sound, just at a slightly different BPM and genre name. (FDM (Fast Dance Music) - that's what I'm calling it now =P)

I appreciate S3RL is taking his music where he wants and it's admirable he takes his music seriously enough to do that. It may take quite a while for me to adjust to the BPM being toned down a notch since I'm used to the high energy 175. Even so, I can imagine this track being a great sing along at events.
