DYS took its name from the Department of Youth Services, a Massachusetts governmental organization. Singer Dave Smalley went on to sing for Dag Nasty, ALL, and Down By Law. Bassist Jonathan Anastas became founding member of Slapshot before leaving the music business for a career in advertising.

Absolute fuckin mega classic right here. One of the best albums out of Boston ever. Shit, one of the best hardcore albums ever period. Every song is pure fire. I was psyched when I found a copy at Nuggets in the used bin circa 1989-90 for $20. Everything put out on XClaim! Records was awesome. Essential listening.
