D Double E used to be a member of the 187 Crew, with Jammer and Armour. The group were invited to join Nasty Crew, and they accepted apart from Jammer, who did join later after N.A.S.T.Y were in contact with a record company and he was approached to work on the production. After being one of the earliest members of Nasty Crew, Double left the collective due to disagreements, which are thought to revolve around the fact that D Double E used the prestigious Nasty Crew name to secure solo bookings. Double also left the crew with Footsie and Monkstarr, and these MCs, along with DJ Tubby established the grime collective the Newham Generals.
The Newham Generals are currently signed to the label Dirtee Stank, a label established by former grime MC Dizzee Rascal, and their debut album Generally Speaking is due for imminent release. The Newham Generals have a regular slot on the pirate radio station Rinse FM.

I'm woh
I'm I'm gully gully
Everyday I'm looking mint
Like I'm Murray Murray
But these girls and they're hot
Just like a curry curry
But I can't stop
On the road I'm making money with my cuzzy cuzzy
On the road I'm making money with my buddy buddy
It's all on point, it's all buddy buddy
You got my money?
Lovely Jubbly (Where's the pee?)
Lovely Jubbly
Lovely Jubbly
You got my money? (Ahh!)
Lovely Jubbly (Where's the pee?)
Lovely Jubbly
You got my money? (It's there!)
Lovely Jubbly
Let me carefully check
One sec
Let me carefully check
Wait there
Let me carefully check
Ahh!
Lovely Jubbly
Let me carefully check
One sec
Let me carefully check
Wait there
Let me carefully check
It's there!
Lovely Jubbly
Ahh!
Wag wan?
It's been a while
What's going down
Normally I always see you around
But lately you ain't been in town
It's like man's tryna hold it down
Can't hear a pin drop can't hear a sound
You said you was gonna come check now
But you never came round
What's going on with the rest of the pee
That you got for me
Tell me please
How many weeks has it been? Nearly three!
You're taking the piss you're taking the pee
You're taking the piss you're taking the butty
You're not a blonde so you're not worthy
Remember how much you owe me £6.30?
(I have that guy's £6.30)
Lovely Jubbly
Lovely Jubbly
You got my money? (Ahh!)
Lovely Jubbly
Lovely Jubbly
Lovely Jubbly
You got my money? (It's there!)

Lovely Jubbly
The lyrics to D Double E's "Lovely Jubbly" revolve around the pursuit of money and the frustration of not getting paid back by someone. The first verse sets the tone for the song, with D Double E boasting about his looks and money-making abilities. He likens himself to tennis player Andy Murray and compares the girls he attracts to spicy curry. Despite being in a hurry, he still manages to make money on the road with his "cuzzy" (cousin) and "buddy." The chorus repeatedly asks if the person has his money, implying that he is owed a debt.
The second verse is directed towards the person who owes him money ("pee"), criticizing them for not showing up and not paying him back on time. D Double E questions the whereabouts of the rest of the money and reminds the debtor of the exact amount they owe him. The bridge of the song encourages listeners to "get that money" and make sure their business is correct, denouncing those who don't have any money and aren't successful. The chorus is repeated, with D Double E finally checking and finding that the money is there.
Overall, the lyrics showcase D Double E's ability to blend braggadocious rhymes with the everyday struggles of making ends meet and getting paid back on time.
