Multiple mixtapes followed in the coming months, with 2017 offering Billion Dollar Baby, Baby Talk, Baby Talk 2, 3, and 4, as well as Back on My Baby Jesus Sh!t. 2018 continued in a similarly fashion with Baby Talk 5 and Blank Blank. In November of 2018, while shopping with his family at a Walmart in Huntersville, North Carolina, Kirk was approached by several men. An altercation broke out and gunfire ensued, resulting in the death of 19-year-old Jalyn Domonique Craig. Kirk, while involved in the dispute, did not admit to firing the fatal shots and was not charged with any crime connected to the incident. DaBaby got a label deal in 2019 when he signed on with Interscope.
The label quickly released Baby on Baby in March of that year, a full-length that was preceded by videos for singles "Suge" and "Walker, Texas Ranger."

I've been blind for a while now (while now)
I just got the key, they let me in, no ID
Doors openin' up for me and now I see
I've been blind for a while now
I've been blind for a while now (ayy, I've been blind, hey)
Tomatoes, mustard, mayonnaise
Nigga better catch up, catch up, catch up, catch up (yup, yup, yup)
Thankful that my head too hard for me to learn my lesson (my head too goddamn hard)
'Cause the way I did it worked out fine, ooh, God you blessed me (amen)
Probably ain't believe me
Know a nigga went through hell and back, now he finally on the TV (yeah)
Now a nigga don't even give a fuck no more, probably think it's easy
Let you know it ain't easy
I fuck her like a Bathing Ape, she run from the dick like a cheetah (go)
Two-tone AP watch on, never see me use it for a clock (tick-tock)
They see the way he fuckin' up the charts (hmm)
I wonder is he ever gon' stop?
And he charge a hundred-fifty for the verses now
Pay it or we never ever drop
They noticed that a nigga music versatile
Wonder if he ever goin' pop? (Go)
I just got the key, they let me in, no ID
Doors openin' up for me and now I see
I've been blind for a while now (blind)
I've been blind for a while now (blind)
Let's go
I just got the key, they let me in, no ID
Doors openin' up for me and now I see
I've been blind for a while now
I've been blind for a while now
Yeah
I've been quarantined, livin' with my kiddies
Tryna teach me how to cha-cha, ah
Fucked around, left the door open
Now they know that they can't stop me
Don't place me in no cop car
Yeah, I'm off probation, so it's gas I blow
I found love in my bitch, so I don't ask no more
I can really sit back, ain't gotta pass no dough
All of my brothers get loot, I don't got ride with pistols (yeah)
They found him dead, he dissed you (whoa)
PTDS, don't you tell me you lost me (woo)
Fuck all the rest, none them bitches are a nominee
Go to the head whenever dogs with me die
Got me riding 'til the sun come, blood on my white one's
I just got the key, they let me in, no ID
Doors openin' up for me and now I see
I've been blind for a while now (blind)
Yeah, I've been blind for a while now, yeah (let's go)
I just got the key, they let me in, no ID
Doors openin' up for me and now I see
I've been blind for a while now
I've been blind for a while now (yeah)
In DaBaby's song "BLIND," the rapper reflects on his journey to success and the obstacles he faced along the way. He begins the song by acknowledging that he has been blind for a while, implying that he was not aware of his true potential until recently. However, he has now unlocked his potential and doors are opening up for him, allowing him to see clearly.
Throughout the song, DaBaby discusses his rise to fame and the struggles he faced to get there. He references the difficulty of making it in the music industry, where competition is fierce and success is elusive. He also addresses his critics, who may have doubted his abilities, but he has proven them wrong.
DaBaby also talks about his personal life, including being quarantined with his children and finding love in his relationship. He expresses gratitude for his success and the people who have supported him, but he also acknowledges that there will always be challenges ahead.
Overall, "BLIND" is a reflective and introspective song that showcases DaBaby's growth as an artist and a person.

1. The Human Problem (Romans 3:10, Romans 3:23, and Romans 6:23). The first part of the Romans Road confirms the state of every human as sinful and the state of God as holy.
โAs it is written: โThere is no one righteous, not even one;โ (Romans 3:10)
โFor all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,โ (Romans 3:23)
After establishing that โall have sinned,โ the first half of Romans 6:23 explains the depth of this problem and its consequences.
โFor the wages of sin is deathโฆโ (Romans 6:23a)
However, the second half of the verse hints at the hope sinners have for salvation through Jesus.
โโฆbut the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.โ (Romans 6:23b)
2. Humanityโs Hope in Christ (Romans 5:8). The second part of the Romans Road further explains the hope we have in the love of God expressed through Christ.
โBut God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.โ (Romans 5:8)
3. The Sinnerโs Response (Romans 10:9-10 and Romans 10:13). Once we understand our need for a savior and recognize that Jesus Christ is that savior, we can respond by moving along to the third part of the Romans Road, calling out to Jesus.
โIf you declare with your mouth, โJesus is Lord,โ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.โ (Romans 10:9-10)
This response is possible for everyone. Romans 10:13 expresses Godโs ability to save everyone. (His intention to save everyone is further expressed in John 3:16-17)
โFor, โEveryone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.โโ (Romans 10:13)
4. The Result of Salvation (Romans 5:1-2; Romans 8:1). The fourth part of the Romans Road mentions two results (peace and justification) after a sinner decides to declare and believe in their heart that Jesus Christ is Lord. Romans 5:1-2 explains that through faith in Jesus Christ, sinners can enjoy peace with God, no longer separated from holy God by sin.
โTherefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.โ (Romans 5:1-2)
Romans 8:1 rejoices in the result of salvation. Before faith in Christ, all who have sinned were condemned by their sin and destined for death. But now with faith in Christ, โthere is no condemnationโ (Romans 8:1) and believers are gifted eternal life with God (Romans 6:23).
โTherefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,โ (Romans 8:1)
