You know after pondering your statement, I must say what you said is the very reason gaming doesn't promote real life violence. Everybody has a rage they sometimes get, and if not channeled could cause someone to physically hurt theirself or somebody. I can't tell you the times I have been so pissed off coming home from a shit day at work, then hopping on GTA and just being able to mow down VIRTUAL cops and civilians with an assault rifle and screaming like Rambo, I feel much more relaxed, and calm. I am able to forget about my work stress for the rest of the day, and not act like a total dick to my family & friends, and most importantly don't do something I would regret like road rage out on somebody! Way better than a cup of coffee, and better for me than a 30 pack of beer. (I really don't scream like Rambo btw ha ha)

Imagine if guys like Jack Thompson won with his "murder simulation" stand against GTA. A lot of retards with anger who can't handle themselves would focus their frustrations in the real world. I happen to find the game fun... I can see how people would use the game as a tool to vent. I hate how idiots like Thompson or PETA would use games as a means to promote themselves as heroes. It would be a sad day if they actually won and we'd see a little of what chaos comes from it. Yes, there is no proof that this game prevents crime... but it's interesting to see that people will hold in their anger and unleash it inside the world of GTA instead of elsewhere.

What people don't know is that this song DOES make an appearance in other GTA games. In GTA III if you tune the radio stations to Lips 106 you'll hear this song come on the radio sometimes (albeit shortened & censored) it's also the the music to Claude's pager. In GTA Vice City you can hear an extended version of it in Commodore style during the intro. Even as late as GTA IV you can have GTA III Pager music, which stemmed from the GTA I theme (^This one), as a ringtone for your phone.

Alex Howard Agreed, The Electro-gun is my favorite weapon in the whole series. Rockstar wanted to make something similar I think so they made a Railgun in GTA 5, wasn't as fun as the Electro. Also the Z-Type is a good touch.

it was actually released on PC and PS1 at the same time, reason i know is because i was a 17 year old working in London and i was so excited to buy it in my lunch hour at HMV in Picadilly Circus i picked up the PC version instead of the PS1 and had to go back and change it

I don't see how that's even relevant, let alone how it proves anything. Plus I find it hard to believe that you were excited about it since it was the first game in the series and hadn't really been marketed that much ether.

Even if it is true, that's in Europe. Game was released in the US first, and first on the PC.
