Damone released their debut album "From The Attic" in 2003 on RCA, but due to poor sales the label stopped showing interest in the band. Co-founder and guitarist Dave Pino (also a member of the band Waltham and late of Powerman 5000) quit the band sometime in 2004, being replaced by Boston native Mike Woods. While working on new material, the band was dropped from their label after requesting to be released. They were quickly picked up by Island Records.
Damone released their sophmore LP "Out Here All Night" on iTunes in early 2006, with the CD version released May 23rd, 2006. Damone released their newest album Roll The Dice in December 2008.
The band disbanded sometime in 2009. On December 9, 2011, the band's drummer Dustin Hengst passed away of liver problems.
"Out Here all Night" was a single on the Madden video game series. The band was originally named Noelle, after LeBlanc. Damone is a reference to a character of the same name in Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

changed the day that I met you
all my rides and fake tattoos
I thought we were so damn cool
I'd get right back on the aeroplane
the greyhound bus the subway train
if I thought it'd ease the pain
I'm not someone you ignore
give us what we came here for
pick my heart up off the floor
give us what we came here for
nothing less and nothing more
just give me what I came here for
Every time I look at you
I forget what I'm supposed to do
I can turn around and walk away
and break my heart but who's to say
you'll notice anyway
I'm not someone you ignore
give us what we came here for
pick my heart up off the floor
give us what we came here for
nothing less and nothing more
give me what I came here for
nothing less and nothing more
give me what I came here for
One step in and one step out
one thing's clear beyond a doubt
I had happiness and now I'm just about
to watch it burn
I'd get right back on the aeroplane
the greyhound bus the subway train
if I thought it'd ease the pain
if I thought it'd ease the pain
I'm not someone you ignore
give us what we came here for
pick my heart up off the floor
give us what we came here for
I'm not someone you ignore
give us what we came here for
pick my heart up off the floor
give us what we came here for
nothing less and nothing more
give me what I came here for
nothing less and nothing more
give me what I came here for
nothing less and nothing more
give me what I came here for
The lyrics to Damone's song, "What We Came Here For" are about the intense feelings of love and passion that can arise in a relationship. The singer describes how meeting the person they are singing to has changed everything they thought they knew; they were once focused on rides and fake tattoos, but now they are consumed by something much deeper. The singer is willing to do whatever it takes, including traveling long distances and enduring heartbreak, as long as they can have what they came for - this intense love and connection that they have found.
Throughout the song, the singer addresses their lover directly and emphasizes how important it is that they are not ignored. They ask for what they came for - this love and connection - nothing less, and nothing more. The singer admits that they forget everything they are supposed to do when they are with their lover, and that they are willing to risk heartbreak if it means they can have their love reciprocated. The song ends with the singer acknowledging that they are about to watch their happiness burn, but they are still willing to fight for what they want.
In summary, "What We Came Here For" is a sincere and passionate love song that emphasizes the lengths that some people are willing to go to when they find the person they truly love.
