This video was really interesting especially listening to the geologist. I just had do a geology report in my class and i went to a local gold mine and had to describe the process that deposited the gold seams in the area. Living near thew motherlode of California is sure interesting

Dude. "Prospectors are generally not miners." So VERY true! And yet there are so many that play the 'i'm just a prospector' line when they are trying to exploit a deposit. Not that there is anything wrong with extracting what is found, but we at least need to be honest with our selves and each other. How many 'prospectors' are realistically talking about trommels? Faults and fussures are where its at in that mine wherever the quartz hydrothermal fluid shot up through with minerlization and oxidation up against the footwall or hang wall an area where the minerals and gold falls out of solution and where 2 bedrock plates shifted creating pressure.

Ocean picture stone MIGHT be gold bearing, it has the possibility, one of the gold oxides is blue in color, but I am not aware of blue gold oxides permeating any gemstone

Likely the thought of the foot wall potentially having better gold is because at the time of deposition the foot wall is typically on the geo-fluid side of the seam or deposit. So in a multi incident deposition it would deposited on the geifluid side first.. Assuming not too much post deposition upheaval. Maybe the statement should be the geo fluid side of the deposit usually has better gold and the majority of the time that is on the foot wall of the seam?

Prospectors locate surface deposits once a surface deposit is found it is called a prospect. The prospector then contacts an exploration company (like the one dans friend contacted ) they in turn explore the prospect to find out if it’s feasible to mine if it is they buy the property from the prospector get some more money out of it to try and recoup some of their operating costs and then the exploration group contacts a mining company and sells it to the mining company who comes in and destroys the area 😖😂 until it’s mined out. Usually the mining company buys up a huge chunk of land in this case they would probably buy dans ocean picture stone mine as well (if they dont just force him out…) the drone shots Dan has taken of this property will change dramatically from exploration and extremely if it becomes full blown a mine. More often than not the Ming company purchases the land and rarely develops it and it’s off limits to the public from then on. the prospector usually gets the best deal he makes his money with very little overhead and a few hundred to thousand hours put out. I’m not sure if Dan had to pay Jason for his sampling results I’m pretty sure Jason did it for free (for views and to get his name out there ) and because Jason just enjoys doing it. Usually you have to pay money for a fire assay (testing the ore to see the amount of metals in it) hope that helps answer your question

Not to burst your bubble but if they paid you in stock only for the “partnership” I hope you got A LOT of shares. Current value is about $0.12 usd per share… even a partial mine for these guys might help them out, so hopefully their shares go up in value. Not sure what happened to them but their shares dropped from their “peak” period of $0.53 / share in the US, down to $0.07 / share back in 2012 and haven’t really been above $0.10 share since until this year or so. Be very careful here Dan something is fishy. I’m wondering if they’re hoping your YouTube channel will get them traded again and increase the value some… but so far it’s just junk stock. The gold in the ground is probably worth more than these guys.
