2. A musical act from the Netherlands, established early 00s. Comprised of members Kim and Sean, the duo are also known both as Double Nation and Sean & Kim.
Dance Nation is one of Netherlands most famous dance duos, well-respected across the globe for their hits 'Sunshine', 'Dance', 'Words' and 'Great Divide'. The producers behind the act are music industry professionals Rob Janssen and Brad Grobler.
In 2010 Dance Nation was re-born, when a new female vocalist Sandrine joined the act. Following the success of their 2010 summer single 'Great Divide', Dance Nation released a new club banger 'Surround me' later that year. With a video shot in steamy deserts of Los Angeles and charming city of Amsterdam, 'Surround me' presents a cooler, darker side of Dance Nation and showcases the vocal talent of Sandrine.

Dance Nation Lyrics

For the way I made you feel
I need your arms around me
Cause your loving keeps me real
It's hard to find the answers
But I gotta let you know
We were meant to be together
Now I need your love
It's hard without you near me
With that is that I'm told
And days go by forever
Inner worlds of cold
It's hard to find the reason
Why we walked away
And I can't stop believing
That you come back to stay
Come and free me
With your words of love
Come and free me
With your words of love
Come and free me
With your words of love
The lyrics of Dance Nation's song "Words" are a plea for forgiveness and for the return of a lost love. The singer in the song acknowledges that they are at fault for making their partner feel a certain way, and they seek comfort and validation in their lover's embrace. They describe their connection as being fated, using the metaphor of two halves of one whole, and express the desperate need to feel that connection again.
Throughout the song, the lyrics highlight the pain and emptiness that come with being apart from the one you love. They describe the passing of time as feeling endless and desolate, and they express confusion and regret over the decision to walk away. Despite this, there remains a glimmer of hope that their partner will come back to them and fill the void in their life.
Overall, the lyrics of "Words" are a poignant expression of the universal human experience of love and loss. They capture the raw emotional pain of separation and the yearning for connection and possibility of reconciliation.
