She started posting videos on YouTube of her covering songs from Beyonce, Nirvana and Edith Piaf in March 2008. She currently has a total of 1.92 million subscribers and over 300 million views on YouTube. She also posts music on SoundCloud and Spotify.

Andrade gained followers with songs like Coldplay's "The Scientist", and Frank Sinatra's "Fly Me To The Moon" in 2009, she soon increased the frequency of the post, and eventually released an EP of original songs, Things We've Said, in 2012. She then released a collection Covers, Vol. 1, as well as The Christmas EP. Her low-key version of Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" went viral in 2014, as did her acoustic cover of Edith Piaf's "La Vie en Rose". Her music has also been featured in commercials and TV shows including Supergirl, Suits, and The Umbrella Academy.

She won the Vista Prize in 2015 and was nominated for the Premios Juventud in 2016 under the category favorite hit-maker. In 2020, she won the Hi-Fidelity Award from the Prism Prize, to honour her innovative music videos.

This is like the essence of being alone but being ok about it. It's always your choice to feel a certain way about any situation you are in. Too often people buy into the myth that happiness only comes from having many friends, or having a lot of money, or having many things. It's more about focusing on and doing what makes you happy. As long as you make time for own mental well-being and make meaningful goals in life you'll be satisfied no matter the situation. Finding a sense of happiness and joy from self improvement is also an amazing feeling to chase after. Love and take care of yourself so that you can be open to doing the same for others! Ok so I have a story:

So there’s this girl. She is the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen. She’s everything I’ve ever wanted, kind, smart, artistic, and she loved me. I know this song is about loving yourself, but when I hear this song, I think about how I used to look into her eyes like they were my mirrors, she was my mirror. I hated myself when I looked in the mirror, I still do; I saw every imperfection that I had, but when I looked into her eyes I would forget everything, and for a moment I saw everything she loved about me, reflected in her eyes. When I saw how much she loved me, I fell deeper in love with her, I even started to love myself a little more too. So that’s my interpretation of the song. I miss her, and a part of me will always love her. I hope someone reads my story and enjoys it :)

Daniela, I have (relatively) recently discovered your music and love all of it. I admire you as an artist that seems to be constantly growing. This is honestly the first full length video I've seen you do with an original song.
All that being said, I hope you don't mind me getting a bit personal for the purpose of explaining why I am writing this to you. I have battled with depression since I was very young, and although I am doing much better, I still have issues with self esteem and staying positive in general. I am currently struggling with a decision that I made to chase my dreams and dealing with the sacrifices that decision entails.
As I was listening to your song just now, reading the lyrics I felt this overwhelming sense of... Pride. Yes I am afraid. Yes I am struggling. No, I don't know what my future holds for me but I know that I am heading in the right direction for where I am trying to reach. I know it seems silly but one thing that stuck out to me was your shirt, and the words "keep pushing". I know you don't know Me or my story, and most likely will not even see this comment, but the work you do, the fact that you seem to only grow in your craft, the way your words and voice can have such an impact is incredible. I don't know your story, but one thing I do know for certain is that you getting to where you are, and going to where you want to be, it is not easy at all. Thank you for being an inspiration, not only to me, but countless others. You are a beautiful person, and I love you for doing what you do and not giving up. Daniela, I have a request if you have the time. Could you possibly perform a cover of Tame Impala's song "Yes I'm changing", Toro Y Moi's "So Many Details", or maybe Little Dragon's "Pretty Girls" ? I love your Originals , but you just perform covers so damn well and have your own style that completely perfects them.
