He was Born in 1942 in Gijon, Province of Asturias, Spain. His passion for music triggered an internal search of his identity by writing his own music. It is believed that his Greatest Hit has been: "This world today is a mess" recorded by Donna Hightower, followed by "Vals de las Mariposas" ("The Butterflies' Waltz") being used for Special Ocassions like Weddings, 16 Candles ("Quinceañeras), etc...
His relationship with MARCIA BELL (Actress/Singer) inspired him to create another beautiful song named: "Por El Amor De Una Mujer", recorded by him, and later on by JULIO IGLESIAS. He also wrote another Waltz/Song entitled: "16 Años" (16 Years) and can be found interpreted by either artist, DANNY DANIEL, or JULIO IGLESIAS. His creativity has been proven in the 70's and 80's, delighting us with a list of great melodies. Other popular songs are as follows: "Niña, No Te Pintes Tanto", "Que Bonita Primavera", "Viento de Otoño", "Mañana", etc...

La chica del disfraz
Danny Daniel Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Voy a recordar
In Danny Daniel's song La chica del disfraz, the singer reminisces about a girl he saw at a carnival many years ago, who he is unable to forget even now. The song opens with the sound of an old saxophone and the laughter of the carnival, which sets the mood of a wistful reminiscence. The singer then remembers seeing the girl with an antifaz (a mask worn at carnivals), and how her eyes were as green as the sea. He repeats the line "Pero un sueño más es muy poco más" (But one more dream is not enough) to emphasize how much he wants to see her again.
However, as the song progresses, the singer realizes that he is unable to find her, and that she only exists in his dreams. He tries to catch up to her, but all he can see is her disfraz. The song takes a melancholic tone as the singer acknowledges that many years have passed, and nobody laughs in the city anymore. The streets that were once made of colorful paper are now metallic, and everyone wears an antifaz, perhaps signifying the loss of individuality and the prevalence of conformity.
Overall, the song's lyrics paint a nostalgic picture of a longing for a past that can never be recaptured. It speaks to the universal human experience of fleeting happiness and the unrelenting passage of time.

Oh, sonaba aquel
The sound of an old saxophone could be heard
Viejo saxofón
It was an old saxophone
Entre risas del carnaval
Amidst the laughs of the carnival
Calles de papel
Streets made of paper
Yo la vi pasar
I saw her pass by
Y en mis sueños hoy vuelve a estar
And today she returns in my dreams
Pero un sueño más es muy poco más
But one more dream is not enough
Porque al despertar se ha marchado ya
Because when I wake up, she's already gone
Y al correr detrás solo puedo ver su disfraz
And while chasing her, all I can see is her disguise
Eran como el mar
They were like the sea
Verdes como el mar
Green like the sea
Esos ojos con antifaz
Those eyes with a mask

Voy a recordar
I will remember
A esa chica con su disfraz
That girl with her disguise
Han pasado ya
Many years have passed
Muchos años ya
Many years already

Today they are made of metal
