Melt

Imagine it's the surface and I'm the sunken treasure on the ocean floor
When up and out of nowhere you came along combing the entire sea
Lyin' on your belly in your glass-bottom boat, were you looking for me?
And all I wanna do is melt away with you
I'm sinking in a couch sharing secrets I've never let go before
While you make a cigarettes and high school mixed cassettes for riding in your car
Looking so dumbfound you ask, how'd you get that sound to come out of your guitar?
And all I wanna do is melt away with you
Now I haven't moved a muscle and I haven't flinched an inch in almost two CD's
And you say pfff that's nothing, 'cause I've been like that since the seventies
And all I wanna do is melt away
And all I wanna do is melt away
The song "Melt" by Danny Michel is a love song that describes the feeling of being utterly enamored with someone and wanting to spend every moment melting away with them. The lyrics paint a vivid picture of two people deeply in love, one lying on their back staring at the ceiling, daydreaming about their lover coming to find them like sunken treasure on the ocean floor. The other person is depicted as a treasure hunter, combing the seas, searching for the hidden treasure that is their lover. The imagery of this scene is both romantic and cinematic, as if the two lovers are in a movie sequence.
The second verse transitions to a more intimate scene where the two lovers are sharing secrets and unraveling together. They are so comfortable with each other that they can be vulnerable and open, expressing their deepest fears and desires. They make mixed tapes for each other and have silly conversations, showing the playfulness of their relationship. The final verse brings a sense of timelessness to the song, as the two lovers have been together for so long that time doesn't seem to matter. The singer hasn't moved a muscle, and their lover laughs and says that they have been like that since the seventies. It's a beautiful moment of two souls in sync and completely lost in each other's love.
Overall, "Melt" is a song about the magic of love and how it can make you feel weightless, carefree, and at peace. It's about finding your soulmate and wanting to live in that moment forever, melting away in each other's arms. The lyrics are heartfelt and poetic, and Danny Michel's voice is soothing, creating a peaceful and dreamy atmosphere.
