The lyrics to Danya Yousef's song "El Laila Ashofak" (Tonight I'll See You) express the singer's longing for her lover's company. She pleads with him to forget about everything else and just spend the night with her. She asks him to tell her what's going on with him and to come to her or have her come to him. She reminds him that he already has a place in her heart and that she loves him.
The second verse sees the singer questioning her lover's absence, asking who he's left her alone for at night. She confesses that she can't stop thinking about him and that he's always on her mind. She longs for him to come back to her and to stay with her, so that she can finally get some peaceful sleep.
The repetition of the chorus emphasizes the singer's desire to be with her lover, with the final repetition of "El Laila Ashofak" being a reminder that she is eagerly waiting to see him tonight.
Overall, the song expresses the intense emotions of love and the longing for the presence of the beloved.
