Dark Dark Dark Lyrics

That you brought a coat
Cause winters here get awful cold
The winters here get awful cold
And If we're still lovers go out and marry
The air burns our love as the ice burns the street
You will know you will know you know you'll know
That you brought you coat
A damn good thing you brought your coat
And if we're still lovers go out and marry
The coldest bones we warm our sheets
And much you're convinced that it is going to be spring
But for two more months you're shivering
And its a good thing
That you brought your coat
A damn good thing you brought your coat
The lyrics of "Winter Coat" by Dark Dark Dark describe the coldness of winter and the need to have a coat to keep warm. The singer expresses her satisfaction that her lover has brought a coat, as she knows how cold the winters can get. She then goes on to talk about their love and how, despite the coldness of the air burning their love, they can still warm their bones and sheets through their love. She encourages them to get married if they are still in love. The singer reminds her lover that winter will still be around for two more months, despite their hope that it will soon be spring. She concludes that it is a good thing they have their coats with them.
The song can be seen as a metaphor for the season of life where everything feels cold and dark, and one needs the warmth of love and companionship to survive. The winter coat represents the comfort and security of being with someone who loves and cares for you. The singer encourages her lover to hold on to each other and weather the cold together.
Overall, "Winter Coat" is a poignant song that captures the emotions and struggles of being in a relationship during tough times. It reminds the listener that having someone to love and hold on to through the cold and dark times can make all the difference.
