Dark Dark Dark Lyrics

Hoping that we would never part
Holding your hand, I looked in your eyes
Knowing that I would break your heart
I know, I know it's all my fault
Be still, be still my broken heart
I know, we never should have part
Beside the tree, I gaze upon it
Leafless and still beneath the moon
Violently ill, I lay around it
Hoping the pain will be over soon
I know, I know it's all my fault
Be still, be still my broken heart
I know, we never should have part
And now, I'll never have a chance
The lyrics to Dark Dark Dark's song "Sunrise" highlight the devastating impact humans have on the natural world. The first verse talks about how we may be witnessing the last sunrise because of the damage we have caused. The tears in the singer's eyes represent the sorrow and despair felt towards the state of the world. The use of "bloodred" to describe the sunrise adds to the bleakness of the situation. The chorus states that if life is a dream, one should be afraid to wake up as the reality is far worse than any nightmare.
The second verse focuses on the destruction of natural beauty and the senseless exploitation of resources that lead to death. The lines "What will you breathe/When all trees are dead/Where will you go/When our world is black" pose important questions about the consequences of our actions. The bridge then encourages people to take action and clear the wounds of the earth, even if we cannot fully restore what we have destroyed. The song ends with a warning that if we do not change our ways, judgment day will be a matter of time.
Overall, "Sunrise" is a powerful and timely song that encourages listeners to reflect on the impact of their actions on the environment. It highlights the urgency of the situation and calls for immediate action to prevent further damage.

Fix the damage
The earth is suffering from
The planet is hurt
Even when you can't renew
Even though you can't bring back extinct species
What you once destroyed
To what you annihilated
So tear out this poisoned thorn
Stop damaging the world
And ease the pain you caused
Restore what you ruined
Stop to torture the nature

Oh can't you see the bloodred sunrise
The bloody sunrise is a warning
Oh can't you see the fear in my eyes
I fear for the future
I cannot understand
I can't comprehend
What you've done to the world
How you destroyed everything is inexplicable
Why you've done this to our world
What was the purpose of all this destruction?
If you don't change your point of view
If you fail to alter the way you think
Judgement day will be
The end will come
Just a question of time
Only a matter of time
