The sound is a mix up of beautiful melodies backed up by a driving double bass, soft spacey passages, unique guitar sound, and great piano work. The 2002 album Swanlike features harsh vocals commonly found in the death metal genre, whilst these vocals were dropped for 2005's Existence.

Right after the release of "Existence" in February 2005 the band went on tour with Swedish Progressive Heroes Pain Of Salvation for about 25 gigs all over Europe in April and September that year. It did not take very long and the fans got aware of the strength, warmth and naturalness of a Dark Suns Live show - on stage the songs get an immense power and one can get lost in the mindscapes of Dark Suns' music...

2008: The new record will be released in the beginning of the year and after 3 years "musical absence" the band is ready to put out the result of a two years search for the right sum of their creativity...

Overall Meaning

The first stanza of the song speaks about reminiscing and longing for the purity and warmth of youth. The singer believes that there is still more to life than everything they have experienced so far. The next few lines seem to express a sense of joy and celebration, and the singer is amongst people, possibly loved ones and friends, who form a new constellation in their life. They seek the confidence and support of these people to face the challenges that lie ahead. The prevalent images around them confirm their spirits and their pursuit of an answer. They question if they are worthy of recalling their deepest well, which could hold all the answers they seek.

The second stanza repeats the singer's desire to break free and embrace confusion that comes with existence. They also mention the euphoric sense of flying, which defines who they are, and their inner dance, which could be interpreted as their personal journey of self-discovery. In the next few lines, the singer questions the reality of people around them and their own perception of them. They describe a sense of distance and longing in the eyes of the people around them, and they question whether they have seen them in their dreams or been in similar situations before. The final few lines depict the singer's journey of accepting the loss and the subsequent realization of their disposition.
