I hope their future material doesn't end up sounding as polished and over produced as this. Seriously lacking in energy, it's so flaaaat. Honestly the production on the first two EP's was really great, why did you change it? Either way, still looking forward to what's to come, because they write good songs and there's definitely more to Nathan Day than meets the eye. Just pleeease Darlia, find a producer who will do you justice !

+Lottie M Yeah you're right, I know wolf alice and was really into their ep's too. The album kinda let me down. The thing that's most annoying is that the songs are great, and as you say, they sound the same live too (i've seen them twice, and both times they put on good show), but it seems to be the way they're being executed in the studio is just really letting them down. But who knows, I'm quietly praying for the album to pleasantly surprise me haha

The same thing happened with wolf alice ( you may have heard of them) they produced several fantastic eps but then they released an album that was over produced, i think darlia are doing the same which is a shame really because the thing i love about both bands is the songs sound the same live and it's like you're there when you listen to them and they sound idk, real? I think they're both trying to steer away from being called grunge (which isn't a bad thing at all) but by doing so their music sounds fake

Tbh the original queen of hearts was one of my favourite songs, I think this version does not give it justice. Still love it though

Usually, "remastered" versions of songs are terrible, but this version has kept the amazing harmony and smoothed it out. I still prefer the more raw original but it's nice to have 2 options!
