Another Day
Darling Thieves Lyrics

Another chance to make my way in a deep world
It's another day
Another chance to change the shape of the same old
I could disappear
Oh, oh
It's another day
Help me find a way
Help me understand my place here in your world
'Cause it's so unclear
Oh, oh
I want to let you in
But the walls aren't coming down
I feel I'm listening
Won't you make that sound?
Alright, alright, alright
Alright, alright, alright
I can still recall
Simple pleasures and the smile of a sweet girl
Now you want it all
And you try to make your way in a sick world
And you disappear
Oh, oh
I want to let you in
But the walls aren't coming down
I feel I'm listening
Won't you make that sound?
Alright, alright, alright
Alright, alright, alright
So long, so long
It feels so wrong
To say goodbye, it's been so long
I know, I know
In time you'll know
That I was always waiting
It's another day
Another chance to make a change, this is your world
I want to let you in
Let the walls come crashing down
I feel you're listening
When you make that sound
Alright, alright, alright
Alright, alright, alright
I want to let you in
Let the walls come crashing down
I feel you're listening
When you make that sound
Alright, alright, alright
Alright, alright, alright
We're gonna make it (x16)
The song "Another Day" by Darling Thieves is a reflection of the struggles of living in a complex and confusing world, and the hopefulness that we can find our way through it. The lyrics call for a chance to make things right, to change the shape of the same old and find our place in the world. The singer expresses a desire to let someone in, to break down the walls that keep us from connecting with one another. However, it's not easy - we're surrounded by a deep world that can make it hard to understand our place in it. The song includes a lot of repetition in the lyrics, with the phrase "alright, alright, alright" repeated four times throughout, as if to remind us to keep going, to keep pushing through tough times.
The chorus of the song highlights the singer's desire to let someone in, but the walls aren't coming down. The verse then transitions into a reflection on the past, on simple pleasures and sweet memories that can be overshadowed by the complexity of the present. The bridge provides a sense of closure, acknowledging that goodbyes can feel wrong and that it's hard to wait for something that we can't control. The final chorus is a bit more optimistic, with the walls coming crashing down and the sense that we can make it - "We're gonna make it" is repeated 16 times.
Overall, the song is an introspective look at the challenges we face in our lives, and the hopefulness that we can overcome them. It's a reminder to keep pushing through hard times, to find our place in the world, and to connect with others even when it's difficult.
