They have been singing live, producing albums, and touring the country since their founding in 1946. The Aires' vast repertoire features a mix of contemporary favorites, traditional Dartmouth tunes, sketch comedy, and the occasional piece of opera, guaranteed to please audiences of all ages.

The Dartmouth Aires competed on the third season of the NBC show "The Sing Off" and finished second. They were typically lead by soloist Michael, who was often praised by the judges for his soulful and emotional voice.

The lead, Michael, is unbelievable. He has the 'it' factor. I wouldn't be surprised if a record producer signs him before the show is over! Amazing! I'm glad they started and ended with the choir. I predict these guys will go all the way.

Michael, the lead, is outstanding. If they want to go far on the show, he's the only one that can get them there. Nice performance...especially the first half of it. His voice sounds a lot like Adam Pascal, the original Roger in 'Rent'...which is awesome.

Michael has star quality. Looks, charisma, great voice, stage presence. He should go as far as possible. He is riveting to watch to listen to. Made the Sing Off the best season ever. Shawn Stockman or Ben or Sarah should back him like Usher did with Beiber. Have to follow his journey to stardom.

it's so funny, because sonos's cover on a fast pace song was really slow and right after that, these guys' cover on a not so fast song was really intense. but i LOVE IT -3

It's funny. Before Ben gave his comments, I was thinking that this reminded me of Jesus Christ Superstar. Then, Ben said the same thing. Michael is amazing, and the others back him up superbly. Just great!!

I don't think Shawn Stockman was a good choice for judge on this show. In theory he could have been. Boyz II Men was one of the classic vocal groups that paved the way for a cappella as we know it and he's got the African-American sing-style expertise (which has influenced pop music immeasurably), but some of his critiques and comments leave me feeling empty.

I like Shawn but that aside, you should listen to Nicole Scherzinger from season 1 and 2. Talk about empty. I think you would find Shawn to be genius in comparison.

@Evija3000 That note is not that high though. An Alto can sing that note. It's not high AT ALL. That's just a 'G' an octave above middle C. Not that high for a girl.
