1) David Orobosa Omoregie (born 5 June 1998), known professionally as Dave or Santan Dave, is a British rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor. Dave has gained acclaim for his socially conscious lyricism and wordplay and is among the most recognised British rappers.
Dave released his debut extended play Six Paths in 2016, after the release of a number of successful singles including the grime song "Thiago Silva" with AJ Tracey. In the same year, Canadian rapper Drake premiered a remix single of Dave's song "Wanna Know" featuring himself on OVO Sound Radio. Dave released his second EP Game Over in 2017. In 2018, his political song "Question Time" — which directed criticism towards the British Government — won the Ivor Novello Award for Best Contemporary Song. In the same year, he released "Funky Friday", featuring Fredo, which became his first number-one hit on the UK Singles Chart and his first platinum-certified release.
Dave's debut album Psychodrama (2019) was met with widespread critical acclaim and debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, having the biggest first-week streams for a UK rap album. It went on to win the Mercury Prize and Album of the Year at the 2020 Brit Awards. He made his acting debut in the third season of the Netflix series Top Boy, which was released in September 2019.
2) Wouter Otto Levenbach (born 4 May 1944 in Amsterdam), known as Dave, is a Dutch Francophone singer who had a string of number one hits in France in the 1970s. From 1971 to 1974, he was one of the actors in the musical Godspell, making friends with actor Daniel Auteuil, who would become his best friend. In 1974, he released his first hit "Trop Beau", a French adaptation of The Rubettes' hit "Sugar Baby Love". Later, he released "Vanina", his first number-one single in France, an adaptation of Del Shannon's "Runaway", adapted into French by Patrick Loiseau. These were followed in 1975 by the three hits "Mon cœur est malade", "Dansez maintenant" and "Du côté de chez Swann".
His self-titled first album was released at the end of 1975. By that time, he did not only have great success in France and Belgium, but also in his country of origin the Netherlands, where "Dansez maintenant" was a number 1 hit. His later hits included "Lettre à Hélène" (1978), "Comment ne pas être amoureux de vous" (1978) and "Allo Elisa" (1979). In the 1980s, his popularity waned, but until his seventies he still had an audience due to live performances.
Disaster
Dave Lyrics

Came on a Rambo ting, everyting camouflaging
Looking like a bulletproof vest, nah, that's just a body warmer
Big man gossiping, there's noting worser
I swear I'm a father for them man
Bring something larger for them man
Disaster, disaster for them man
Them man, them man, them man there
Then fly out to Edinburgh
I'm so fly, I might just pop my collar
Need a zoobie to roll
Left eye look through your soul
I'm blinded by love while I'm winking at you
I'm thinking out loud so you know I'm always thinking 'bout you
Same time, I don't think I'm too irrational
Fuck beefing with babies
Catch a man raving
We're taking your paper, your 'yac and your ladies
Fistfight, this bitch bites like it's rabies
Drop from your baby, catch him there
I'm standing here
Bumped into Dave by the Santander
You was in the same spot you was in last year
You said, "Life ain't fair"
I know a man who live life in fear
This time last year
You were on the same block, standing there
Smoking, gossiping, chatting bare
Don't tell me that you ain't involved
Them JME 'cause a man don't care
Man don't business, love no witness
Hug no traitor, spud no snitches
Man try live this, never knew he had a clitoris
Have man for breakfast, talk about hit list
I bring the fire, you liar and a backstabber
I'm with the born-chasers or I'm with the cash grabbers
I'm doing mathematics, automatic, never static
And she don't know my real name, she thought I was Patrick
Sit back and smoke a baseball bat
You think this is the life but it ain't all that
I've done some evil things that I wouldn't take back
I keep it to myself 'cause people wanna chat
Keep it to yourself, people wanna talk
Flossing in the gossip's how you end up in a war
I got nothing for a fed, copper for your head
And that's the definition of a penny for your thoughts
We just live and maintain
We on the same streets but we don't play the same game
You're the type to get caught and go and play the blame game
You should be ashamed
If I stick to my heart, I put my stick to your brain
Let it rip for the pain, they put shit on my name, 'til I grip and I aim
Dip on a plane with a brand new name
Mummy, I got a flight to catch
All for an internet gangster or a cyber-man
Mike Myers man, a couple tries tried to try a man
My boys put stars in the hood like I'm Stryder, man
I know people wearing Rollies doing life in can
Isn't that ironic that they couldn't find the time to plan?
Still keep a faith in God, still couldn't spare the rod
Marcel, you know me, I came with the blazing squad
You better pray to God whenever I'm in town
Like a kid in a divorce, I'm leaving with your spouse
I can't make a horse or the river open its mouth
You ain't got the drive, that's why you're in a drought
Life's great, I'm in Sweden or Copenhagen
Getting brain from a Dane whose first name I can't pronounce
Smiling like a nice person
Came on a Rambo ting, everyting camouflaging
Looking like a bulletproof vest, nah, that's just a body warmer
Big man gossiping, there's noting worser
I swear I'm a father for them man
Bring something larger for them man
Disaster, disaster for them man
Them man, them man, them man there
Make a one trip there, just to make a one ting clear
Then fly out to Edinburgh
I'm so fly, I might just pop my collar
Need a zoobie to roll
Left eye look through your soul
I'm blinded by love while I'm winking at you
I'm thinking out loud so you know I'm always thinking 'bout you
Same time, I don't think I'm too irrational
The opening lines of “Disaster” appear to be contradicting. The line “Smiling like a nice person” could be interpreted as a façade, given the following line “Came on a Rambo ting, everyting camouflaging.” This suggests that the person being described is not who they seem, but rather someone with a violent outlook who is using deception to conceal themselves. The line, “Big man gossiping, there’s nothing worser” reinforces this, as it suggests that the person who appears to be friendly is in fact spreading rumours behind people’s backs.
The chorus of the song repeatedly declares “Disaster, disaster for them man, them man, them man there,” suggesting that the targets of the song are going to face a terrible fate. This could be interpreted as Dave’s way of asserting his dominance over those he perceives as weaker than himself. The line “I swear I’m a father for them man” could be read as Dave taking responsibility for the welfare of the men he is addressing, as a father might do for his children. However, given that the chorus repeatedly promises “Disaster” for these same men, it is clear that this perceived responsibility is merely a cover for the violence he plans to inflict upon them.
Overall, “Disaster” is a song that appears to celebrate violence and aggression, with little regard for the consequences that such actions might have on other people. The primary object of the song seems to be to assert power and dominance, emphasizing the strength of the singer over those he perceives as weaker than himself. However, the contradictory nature of the lyrics suggests that this power is not necessarily what it seems, and that the person projected in the song may be covering up a more fragile reality beneath the surface.
