Dave's history goes back to the sixties when he played with his sister Jo-Ann Kelly. Dave first recorded for the Groundhog series Produces by Tony McPhee,later he joined the John Dummer Blues Band and again played alongside Tony McPhee. In Tramp he played guitar for Jo-Ann Kelly, in 1979 he joined The Blues Band and plays with the band to date. alongside his work with the Blues Band he also releases solo albums.
Dave Kelly is considered one of Britain's finest slide Guitarists playing in the 'old' style of blues.
