The duo gained attention with the release of a 1996 concert "Live at Luther College". VH1 recorded a 1999 performance to air as part of the program "Storytellers."
During the Dave Matthews & Friends tours, Dave and Tim opened with an acoustic set; however, they have played midset at some more recent shows.
Recently, the duo embarked on their first tour of Europe, marking their first tour outside of the States, as well as their first extended tour since the Winter 2003 tour.
Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds have most recently released "Live at Radio City", a 2DVD/2CD album on August 14th, 2007 recorded in April of the same year.

So I boil my head in a sense of humor
I laugh at what I cannot change
I throw it all on the pyre againgo then and do this
I'd do it for you
When all that I want is so badly to be
By myself again
It's going to drive me right out of my brain
Drive in drive out I'm leaving
Drive in drive out
I'll come back again
Drive in drive out I'm leaving
Drive in drive out
I don't care if we all turn to waste
So when I begyou avoid me because I smell of dirt hungry,
Hungry boyyou won't leave me all alone the boy won't go
Sooner or later we're done
Sooner or later I'm gone
Because, because
Sooner or later we're gone
Sooner away
Ooh, my head is pounding nowgod has all but left me behind
Not a sense of worry I'm going to drive in and drive out again
Drive in drive out I'm leaving
Drive in drive out I'll come
Drive in drive out I'm leaving
Drive in drive out
I'm over this arrangement
Around hereemptiness
Sounded so good I want to
Drive you right into my world
Drive in drive out I'm leaving
Drive in drive out I'll come
Drive in drive out I'm leaving
Drive in drive out
The song "Drive In Drive Out" by Dave Matthews Band talks about the feeling of being trapped in a situation that the singer doesn't want to be in. The opening lines of the song "I hear more than I like to, so I boil my head in a sense of humor" talk about how the singer is bombarded with things he doesn't want to hear or listen to, so he tries to find a way to deal with it through humor. The following line "I laugh at what I cannot change, I throw it all on the pyre again" talks about his acceptance of the situation and his ability to let things go even when he doesn't want to. The chorus "Drive in drive out, I'm leaving" signifies that the singer has the option to leave the situation but is still caught up in it.
The lines "I don't care if we all turn to waste, so when I beg you avoid me because I smell of dirt, hungry, hungry boy you won't leave me all alone the boy won't go" talk about the desperation and loneliness that comes with being trapped in a situation. Even though the singer acknowledges that he smells like dirt and is hungry, he still pleads with someone not to leave him alone. The song concludes with the lines "Ooh, my head is pounding now, god has all but left me behind, not a sense of worry I'm going to drive in and drive out again". This is an expression of the singer's relief after leaving the situation, even though his head is still pounding.
Overall, the song is about struggling to deal with a situation and feeling trapped, but finding ways to cope and ultimately find freedom.
