Two Step
Dave Matthews Band Lyrics

Say, my love, I came to you with best intentions
You laid down and gave to me just what I'm seeking
Say love, you drive me to distraction

Oh hey my love do you believe that we might last a thousand years
Or more if not for this
Our flesh and blood
It ties you and me right up
Tie me down
Oh well, celebrate we will
Because life is short but sweet for certain
We're climbing two by two
To be sure these days continue
These things we cannot change

Hey, my love, you came to me like wine comes to this mouth
Grown tired of water all the time
You quench my heart and you quench my mind

Celebrate we will
Because life is short but
Sweet for certain
We're climbing two by two
To be sure these days continue
The things we cannot
Celebrate, you and me, climbing two by two, to be sure
These days continue, things we cannot change

Oh, my love I came to you
With best intentions
You laid down and gave to me
Just what I'm seeking

Celebrate we will
Because life is short
But sweet for certain
We're climbing two by two
To be sure these days continue
Things we cannot change
Things we cannot change

Greatest. Drummer. Ever.

@Christopher bossio I have no idea who's the greatest drummer, or even if that phrase has any meaning. Whilst Buddy Rich is widely admired, I would just comment that great playing technique and flashy solos do not, alone, make a wonderful musician. The overall contribution to the music is what counts the most and, arguably, other drummers use their skills to greater effect than Buddy did. It's about what you have to say, not how flashily you can say it, and Carter's playing almost defines some DMB tracks - Buddy never did that for me.

That said, why even compare? Just admire people for what they can do. We don't need winners and losers in music. We should just enjoy what we enjoy and pass by what we don't.

@Wilton Bethel again, Carter is a good jamming drummer who plays from the pocket. But what he does is not technical or difficult to play at all which doesn't mean he isn't a good drummer.
But he is no where in that level of Danny Carey or even close to that of Matt Garska. As a drummer i can sit down and play any of Carter's parts without even having to study them at all.

Wilton Bethel

@Christopher bossio he's definitely the greatest living drummer, along with Danny Carey of Tool, and Antonio Sanchez of the Pat Matheny Group.
