But I don't care
(Embrace me surround me)
Traveling somewhere
Could be anywhere
There's a coldness in the air
But I don't care
Life goes on
We drift deeper
Into the sound
(Embrace me surround me as the rush )
Traveling somewhere
Could be anywhere
There's a coldness in the air
Yeah but I don't care
We drift deeper into the song
Life goes on
We drift deeper into the sound
Feeling strong
So bring it on so bring it on
We drift deeper into the song
Life goes on
We drift deeper into the sound
Feeling strong
So bring it on so bring it on
We drift deeper
We drift deeper life goes on
We drift deeper drift deeper
We drift deeper into the song
Life goes on
We drift deeper into the sound
Feeling strong
So bring it on so bring it on
We drift deeper into the song
Life goes on
We drift deeper into the sound
Feeling strong
So bring it on so bring it on
Embrace me surround me
[Repeat: x8]
As the rush comes
As the rush comes
As the rush comes
As the rush comes
The lyrics to Dave Pearce's song "As the Rush Comes" speak to the transcendent feeling of getting lost in music and allowing it to take you on a journey. The first verse sets the scene, with a coldness in the air that is perhaps symbolic of a feeling of emotional disconnect or numbness. But despite this, the singer is able to find solace in the music, which wraps around them like a warm embrace ("embrace me, surround me").
The second verse repeats the idea of traveling somewhere, anywhere, and feeling that same coldness in the air. But again, the singer is not deterred. They allow themselves to drift deeper into the music and into the sound, feeling the energy building ("we drift deeper into the song, feeling strong"). The repetition of "bring it on" feels almost like a challenge or an invitation to the music to take them further.
Finally, the repetitive chorus of "as the rush comes" reinforces the idea that this is all about the feeling of the moment, the rush of energy that comes from immersing oneself in music. It's an anthem for anyone who has ever lost themselves in a beat or experienced a moment of transcendence on the dancefloor.
Overall, the lyrics to "As the Rush Comes" are simple but powerful, using repetition and symbolism to convey a feeling of being swept away by music and emotion.
