Dave Pearce Lyrics

Bird of prey,
Flying high,
Flying high.
In the summer sky,
Flying high.
Flying high.
Take me on your flight.
Flying high.
The lyrics of Dave Pearce's Sunset depict a beautiful and serene scene, that of a bird of prey soaring high above in the summer sky. The repetition and the short phrases of "Bird of prey, Flying high" give the image of the bird gliding effortlessly up in the sky, almost inviting the listener to come along. The imagery then shifts to a more calming and slower scene, as the bird flies gently by. Finally, the singer asks the bird to take him on its flight, expressing the desire to be carried away by the freedom and the beauty of flying high in the sky.
The lyrics of Sunset can be interpreted in several ways, but the overarching theme is that of freedom and letting go. The bird of prey represents the ultimate symbol of freedom, with its ability to fly high above and beyond the confines of the earth. By asking to be taken on its flight, the singer expresses a deep desire to let go of their earthly worries and to be lifted into a more freeing and peaceful state of mind.

62 years old and still listening. I was in Ibiza in 1976. Missed trance in the 90's, picked it up in 2000 listening to my son's cd. Love it. There will be no hymns at my funeral, only Trance
