Though his background is deeply rooted in traditional classical music, his influences range from Blues greats like Buddy Guy and Albert King, to electronic music like Air, Aphex Twin, and Brian Eno, and rock bands like the The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Cold Thunder.
After finishing his studies, he moved to New York City and completed his debut album, “Dave is in a Meeting,” for electric guitar and string ensemble. Since 2007 he has performed regularly at the Monkey performance hall in Chelsea. He is currently working on an ongoing series called “Sesame Cake” comprised of improvised material and an assortment of local instrumentalists. He is also working on a film collaboration album with local choreographers due out winter 2011.
