At the young age of 17, Davi began producing electronic dance music inspired by many world-class producers and DJjs like Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Danny Howells and 16 Bit Lolitas. Shortly thereafter he was the resident at the top electronic dance club in Armenia where his career began to unfold.
With his move to Los Angeles in 2006, Davi dove right into the underground scene and locked himself in the studio for years to follow while playing at local Los Angeles clubs nights like Monday Night Social at Playhouse, Avalon, and Vanguard.
Davi’s countless hours in the studio opened many doors for him, first of which was remixing Robert Babiczs’ “Zero” anthem which was released on the new Treibstoff label at the time. Earning recognition from top DJs in the scene like John Digweed, Guy J, Nick Warren, and 16 Bit Lolitas; Davi began establishing a name for himself in the Los Angeles underground scene.
Shortly thereafter in 2010 Davi became a resident DJ for Insomniac Events in Los Angeles, where he established his residency at Exchange LA and began playing Insomniac Festivals including twice at Escape from Wonderland opening for Richie Hawtin’s Enter stage. Since Davi’s connection with Insomniac, he has been sharing the decks with some of the top producers and DJ’s of our time including John Digweed, Sasha, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Green Velvet, Art Department, James Zabiela and Hernan Cattaneo to name a few.
Davi’s name can be found on multiple labels today including Rebellion, Anjunadeep, Treibstoff, Hope Recordings, and Baroque. After having attended Burning Man for over six years, Davi collectively put all his Rebel heart inspiration in the studio to create his first Crosstown Rebels EP in 2013 called “Two Suns in the Sky.” This was a tremendous boost to Davi’s career, which led him to begin touring worldwide in 2014 having visited London, Amsterdam, Israel, New Caledonia, Canada and all over the United States including Miami, New York, Boston, and Las Vegas among others.

Aonde eu fui? Você é meu?
O que aconteceu?
Não acredito na sua conversa
Mas conversa agora comigo
Me diz o que aconteceu?
O que aconteceu comigo?
O que aconteceu com a gente?
In these lyrics, Davi is reflecting on a relationship that has taken an unexpected turn. The first lines express the confusion and doubt the singer feels, questioning whether the love they shared was never truly theirs. The uncertainty is further emphasized as they ask themselves where they went wrong and ponder if they truly belong to each other.
The second set of lines conveys a sense of disbelief in the partner's words or explanations. The singer expresses skepticism towards the conversation that has been had, suggesting that they don't trust or believe what their partner has been saying. Despite this skepticism, they still urge their partner to talk to them and share their thoughts and feelings. There is a desire for clarity and understanding in order to make sense of the situation.
The third paragraph continues to express the confusion and frustration the singer is experiencing. They ask their partner to explain what exactly happened, seeking answers and trying to comprehend why things have taken such a unexpected turn. The repetition of the question "O que aconteceu?" (What happened?) emphasizes the singer's desperate need for an explanation.
The lyrics conclude by expanding the focus from the individual to the relationship as a whole. The singer ponders what has happened to both themselves and their partner. There is a sense of sadness and longing as they reflect on the downfall of their connection, wondering how things changed between them and what led to their current state. Overall, Davi's lyrics in "Conversa" delve into themes of confusion, disbelief, and a search for clarity and understanding in the midst of a deteriorating relationship.
