Now I feel that they're gone
Little girl, of my own, neighbourhood
It was young, it was wild
Made me feel like a child
And those days I hold near to my heart
I can't think of you
And now I'm so blue
Hello Jane, how do you do'
I am missed shame on you
I don't know if it's me or it's you
But the words that we were saying do not sound like
before, anymore
Oh, yeah, nah-nah-nah
Late at night all that song rhymes
I can't think of you
Now I'm so blue
We were rocking on Saturday night
You knew your way to drive me mad
In tight jeans you looked so fine
The good times and the fun
Now I feel that they're gone
Little girl, on my own, neighbourhood
It was young, it was wild
Made me feel like a child
And those days I hold near to my heart
The good times and the fun
Now I feel'
Little girl, of my own, neighbourhood
The good times and the fun
Now I feel'
David & David's song "Good Times" is a bittersweet song about the end of a relationship, but making the best of the time they had together. The lyrics touch on the acceptance that all good things come to an end, and though it's sad, life goes on. The song encourages to reminisce the good times they shared, and instead of focusing on the burnt bridges, create a memory to cherish. The song talks about the comfort and intimacy that two people share and how those moments can be revisited as memories for a lifetime.
The song brings out the acceptance that life is short, and sometimes things don't work out as planned in a relationship, so it's essential to leave the future and tomorrow's thought to be untouched. It's a plea to hold each other and enjoy the loved one's company and create one last piece of memory that can be cherished forever.

Don't look so sad
Don't be upset
I know it's over
I understand that our relationship is finished
But life goes on
But we must continue living regardless
And this old world will keep on turning
The world will keep moving, whether we want it to or not
Let's just be glad
But let's be happy
We had some time to spend together
That we had the chance to spend time together
There's no need to watch the bridges
That there's no need to worry about the past
That were burning
That are now gone and can't be fixed
Lay your head upon my pillow
Rest your head on my pillow
Hold your warm and tender body
Hold your soft and warm body close to me
Close to mine
Close to my body
Hear the whisper of the rain drops
Listen to the gentle sound of the rain outside
Blowing soft against the window
As it gently blows against the window pane
And make believe you love me
Pretend that you still love me
One more time
Just for one more moment
For the good times
For the memories of better times
I'll get along
I'll be okay
You'll find another
You'll find someone else
And I'll be here
And I'll still be around
If you should find you ever need me
If you ever need my help or support
Don't say a word about tomorrow
Don't worry about the future
Or forever
Or what might happen in the long term
There'll be time enough for sadness
We'll have enough time to be sad later on
When you leave me
When you eventually move on from me
