1:08 "Monitors up!"
1:10 "Monitors are up!"
1:15 "Mitch, you want to bring up the details on the center monitor, please?"
1:18 "Yeah!...I got details...on."
1:21 enters a command into the computer, bringing up the details on-screen, which then causes the Stargate to shudder and rumble to life, the dial making its initial startup tracking phase
1:26 change camera angle to close-up shots of the constellation symbols engraved into the dial, making their way around the gate

All these subtle musical cues are ingrained into my brain, I just love this movie so much, and the soundtrack even more.

Again - this is a wonderful textural piece of music. Every instrument is labouring hard with arpeggios, scales, small melodies and vignettes, it creates an overall impression of immense complexity.

However, it doesn't stop there, David Arnold weaves all of these individual threads every so often into unified moments, and we can't help but pause our breath occasionally.

The build up to 0:19 suddenly evaporates, and the flutes still have wonderful arpeggios in the background giving a wonderful uplifting feel, until at 0:34 when suddenly out of nowhere the horns join in, adding to that layering of experience, but it keeps going and at 0:48 you realise the violins have more to give.

Wonderfully written. Well done Arnold, this is a piece I don't mind repeating over and over in my mind through the day.

Such an epic piece of music! Absolutely Superb!

The beginning portion of this theme as the Stargate is revealed reminds me of the Area 51 Alien Attacker revealed scene in ID4: Independence Day (which David Arnold also composed).
It fit the scene like a glove.

The beginning always sounded like Austin Powers when he comes from the beach wearing a woman's bathing suit, so when both scenes happen I think of the other movies and it just makes me laugh even more 😂
