Space Oddity
David Bowie Lyrics

Ground Control to Major Tom
Ground Control to Major Tom
Take your protein pills and put your helmet on
Ground Control to Major Tom (ten, nine, eight, seven, six)
Commencing countdown, engines on (five, four, three)
Check ignition and may God's love be with you (two, one, liftoff)

This is Ground Control to Major Tom
You've really made the grade
And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare
"This is Major Tom to Ground Control
I'm stepping through the door
And I'm floating in a most peculiar way
And the stars look very different today
For here
Am I sitting in a tin can
Far above the world
Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do

Though I'm past one hundred thousand miles
I'm feeling very still
And I think my spaceship knows which way to go
Tell my wife I love her very much she knows
Ground Control to Major Tom
Your circuit's dead, there's something wrong
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you "Here am I floating 'round my tin can
Far above the moon
Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do"

"Over The Wall" - Dc Daniels

https://youtu.be/kCYRrcNRNws

Sonder are my thoughts of you,
Mysterious my ways.
Confounded are out short lives,
Eternal in our ways.

For those who never stepped across, the universal bridge...
The sky is made of diamonds,
And it just is what it is.

The path of life,
It ain't walked, our souls are said to fly.
A broken wing ill mend for you,
Just look up to the sky.

Two brothers they talk to me,
Estranged for such a time.
One has me by the mind,
The other my heart finds.

My purpose here my job to do
The people of this land,
Toss them over this here wall
And softly they shall land.

A wall between the brothers two,
We walk it all the time.
Standing there invisibly,
Beyond the test of time.

I've tried my best I've spoken to,
The brothers that I know.
This old animosity,
Vexation needs to go.

I myself I walk the night,
Searching for lost souls.
These children of the night you see,
With wind their candle blows.

I am a sinner man,
A commoner you see.
The scars of my life,
And painful memories.

My purpose here my job to do,
The people of this land.
Toss them over this here wall,
And softly they shall land.

In the darkest sleepless nights,
The truth do I see.
The evils ones with wicked hearts,
Blinded may they be.

Speechless is the one to hear of such a tragedy,
No words so kind can heal the heart of sadness such as this.

A child born into the world
No family to kiss,
Throw their everlasting soul
Into the land of bliss.

The light it flows so warm and soft,
A gentle loving kiss.
All the pain forever gone,
And none shall he miss.

My purpose here my job to do,
The people of this land.
Toss them over this here wall,
And softly they shall land.

Greetings Stranger! Hard to believe someone would scroll all the way down here. Unless those that control time and space change it, there's nothing left beyond this comment, I'm sorry to say. Nothing can be added either. Before you head back up, why not stay for a nice cup of tea? I make a pretty mean cup if I do say myself.

Goodbye now.

Be safe friend.

Don't you dare go hollow.

Maybe I'll get the privilege of meeting you again.

Maybe on another world.

Maybe in another time.

none of us live in the wrong generation. we live in a generation where we can replay this again and again, watch the video as much as we want, wherever we want.

Yes, we can consume. But we cannot create.

It's one thing to be able to look at an old artifact from a bygone era. Being there when the artifact was a fresh new thing in its own time is something else entirely.

It’s one of those songs where you don’t know wether you should be feeling good or bad.

I've always looked at it as the beautiful as a song it is about space but also at the existential answer that I'd space. Astronaut in space looking down on Earth. The billions of countless infinite stars and galaxys "there's nothing more, this is it. We flew into the heavens and there is no God. just us."
