But once your picture becomes tainted
However, once an individual's reputation is damaged or compromised, everything changes.

Determined to succeed, one often speaks of their aspirations and plans for the future.

Now it's plain for everyone to see
Once goals are achieved and success is attained, it becomes undeniable for all to witness.

But this game I'm in don't take no prisoners
The industry or profession one is involved in can be cutthroat and merciless.

Just casualties
Individuals may be thought of as mere casualties in a larger battle for success.

I know that everything is gonna change
Upon reaching a certain level of success, one must come to terms with the eventual changes that will occur.

Even the friends I knew before me go
Old relationships may not survive the changes and pressures of newfound success.

But this dream is the life I've been searching for
Despite the challenges and sacrifices required, the pursuit of this dream was worth it.

Started believing that I was the greatest
Having tasted success, one may begin to believe in their own invincibility and superiority.

My life was never gonna be the same
The newfound success has forever altered the trajectory of one's life.

'Cause with the money, came a different status
Having achieved financial success, one's societal status and standing changes as well.

That's when things changed
Once money and status are in play, everything about the situation changes.

Now I'm too concerned with all the things I own
Material possessions and wealth have become the main focus of attention.

Blinded by all the pretty girls I see
Attracted by the glitz and glamour, one may become distracted by the allure of the opposite sex.

I'm beginning to lose my integrity
With all the temptations and distractions, morals and principles may be compromised, causing a loss of integrity.

I never used to be a troublemaker
Prior to achieving success, one was not known for causing trouble or chaos.

Now I don't even wanna please the fans
Having achieved fame, the desire to please fans may wane or disappear altogether.

No autographs, no interviews
The burden of dealing with fans and the public can become too heavy to bear.

No pictures, and less demands
Requests for pictures and demands of all kinds may become intolerable and overwhelming.

Given advices that were clearly wrong
Advice may be given with good intentions but may turn out to be incorrect or useless.

The type that seemed to make me feel so right
Advice that feels good or confirms preconceived ideas may be particularly seductive.

But some things you may find, can take over your life
Bad habits or addictions can become all-consuming and dominate one's life.

Burnt all my bridges, now I've run out of places
Mistakes or bad decisions have left an individual with no options or resources left to turn to.

And there's nowhere left for me to turn
Having exhausted all possibilities, one may feel truly helpless and lost.

Been caught in compromising situations
Having made poor choices, one may find themselves in difficult or embarrassing situations.

I should have learned
Knowing what is right and the appropriate thing to do does not always translate to action.

From all those times I didn't walk away
Looking back, one may feel regretful about not having the strength or wisdom to walk away from bad situations.

When I knew that it was best to go
Despite knowing that certain situations were unhealthy or unproductive, one may have stayed due to fear, ego or uncertainty.

Is it too late to show you the shape of my heart
Wondering whether it is too late to reveal one's true self and feelings to those around them.

Now I know (now I know)
After experiencing failure, one has come to a realization.

I made mistakes (made mistakes)
Acknowledging responsibility for one's errors in judgement and behaviour.

Think I don't care
Despite appearances, one does care and is deeply affected by the current circumstances.

But you don't realize what this means to me
Others may not fully understand the investment, passion and emotion that one has put into their life's work.

So let me have just one more chance
Pleading for an opportunity to regain lost ground and prove oneself worthy.

I'm not the man I used to be
Having experienced hardship and soul-searching, one has come to realize that they have changed and grown.
