Titanium
David Guetta feat. Sia Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You shout it out
But I can't hear a word you say
I'm talking loud, not saying much
I'm criticized, but all your bullets ricochet
Shoot me down, but I get up

I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
Fire away, fire away

You shoot me down, but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down, but I won't fall
I am titanium

Cut me down
But it's you who'll have further to fall
Ghost town and haunted love
Raise your voice, sticks and stones may break my bones
Talking loud, not saying much

I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
Fire away, fire away

You shoot me down, but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down, but I won't fall
I am titanium
I am titanium
I am titanium

Stone hard, machine gun
Firing at the ones who run
Stone hard, as bulletproof glass

You shoot me down, but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down, but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down, but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down, but I won't fall

I am titanium
I am titanium

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of David Guetta and Sia's song "Titanium" talk about the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity. The singer addresses their detractors, acknowledging that they are being criticized and attacked, but insists that they will not be brought down. The repeated refrain, "you shoot me down, but I won't fall, I am titanium," emphasizes the singer's unbreakable nature and suggests that they have developed a thick skin against the negativity and criticism of others.

The second verse suggests that the singer's detractors are actually the ones at a disadvantage, as they are stuck in a "ghost town" of their own negativity and unable to escape. In contrast, the singer is "talking loud not saying much" and asserting their own strength and resilience. The final lines of the song introduce the image of "stone-hard, machine gun[s]" firing at those who run, which may suggest a broader societal or political context for the song's message.

Overall, "Titanium" is a powerful anthem of self-assurance and resistance, encouraging listeners to stand up to adversity and not let others bring them down.

I know everyone has their own memories attached to this song...

But for me It's a nostalgia, its my most favourite song since my very childhood, I still remember, in 2013, when I was in class 3, my dad bought a brand new laptop for me and It was the song I kept watching for hours and hours without even understanding its lyrics.I felt like this song was meant for me and that boy escaping his home was literally me...😅

Now I understand every word of this song which made it my all time favourite song.I cant express how empowering this song is to me...❤

Hats off to Sia, my all time fav singer...❤

Love to see people still listening it in 2024, this will never get old❤
