He is best known for his lead roles as Michael Knight in the popular 1980s U.S. series Knight Rider and as L.A. County Lifeguard Mitch Buchannon in the series Baywatch. Hasselhoff also produced Baywatch for a number of seasons in the 1990s up until 2001, when the series ended with Baywatch Hawaii. Hasselhoff also crossed over to a music career during the end of the 1980s and the early 1990s. He was noted for his performance at the Berlin Wall in 1989; he enjoyed a short lived success as a singer primarily in German-speaking Europe. Ich liebe David's Musik genauso sehr wie Du es auch tust.Besonders das Album von 1989 halte ich für perfekt und mit optimalen Songs für jeden Geschmack war etwas dabei.
Dieser Song ist laut Davids eigener Aussage sein Favorite,findet man so bestätigt auf der DVD/VHS,wo jeweils die Videoclips drauf sind,nicht die VHS von der LIVETour 1990.
Kennst Du die "Extended VERSION" von "MAXI CD bzw "MAXI SINGLE" ?Das Lied ist verlängert,wenngleich sich das Original besser anhört,mit mehr Kraft und Leidenschaft gesungen.
Kauf Dir als Empfehlung auch die "ROUVEN " maxI- TOGETHER-FLYING ON THE WINGS OF TENDERNESS.
Von diesem damals jungen Interpreten aus Israel (Sohn von Daliah Lavi,bekannte Sängerin aus Israel,vor einigen Jahren leider verstorben) gibt es 3 Versionen des Songs:
Normalfassung,wie bei David auch,nur nicht so kraftvoll gesungen,es war ja auch eines seiner Debut-Lieder.
Extended-Version-anderes Intro,auch mit Instrumental-Teil -sehr interessant und sehr gut anzuhören.
INSTRUMENTAL-VERSION-diese Version ist sehr schön,weil es einfach "Flying on the Wings of Tenderness" als"INSTRUMENTALVERSION ist,und wirklich sehr gut rüberkommt.
Natürlich singt "ROUVEN" ganz nett für sich genommen und war auch symptathisch,aber er hat sich schlussendlich nicht durchgesetzt.-Leider.
Schlussendlich war dies sein echt bester Song-die anderen waren nicht so toll.
Daher nur meine Empfehlung -das Lied mal von Vinyl in 3 Versionen anzuhören es hat auch mal was für sich-aber die Version von David ist natürlich die Beste-ganz klar-Kein Zweifel.

Was sind das für eine unglaublich schöne Zeit, als jeden Tag am frühen Abend, Knight Rider im Fernsehen lief und ein paar Jahre später dann Baywatch und man sich am nächsten Tag in der Schule darüber unterhalten hat. David war der Held der Kids in den 80ern und ich liebe ihn bis heute.
