We're gonna have ourselves a celebration
Forget your worries and any sorrow
We're gonna dance like there is no-no tomorrow
Whatever the hang up
We're getting a gang up
And we are gonna have us some fun
Come on do-own and it will pop like a bubble
I-if your problems are caused by heartbreak
Come and join us you'll forget all your heartache
Whatever the hang up
We're getting a gang up
And we are gonna have us some fun
Is everybody happy
We're gonna have some fun
Is everybody happy
Well everybody have a lotta
Everybody have a lotta fun
If you're surrounded by clouds of thunder
Don't let it get ya and pull-you'll you under
You gotta fight it and learn your lesson
Or you will end up in deep deep depression
Whatever the hang up
We're getting a gang up
And we are gonna have us some fun
David Hasselhoff's "Is Everybody Happy" is a song that speaks to the importance of forgetting one's troubles and worries and simply enjoying life. The first verse sets the scene for a celebration, where everyone is invited to be part of it. The lyrics encourage us to let go of our hang-ups, get together with our friends, and have some fun. The second verse seems to address those people who are struggling with personal problems. The song tells them to come down and join in because, as the saying goes, "misery loves company." The chorus is a reminder that everyone deserves to be happy and have fun, and that regardless of our individual situations, we should all make time for joy in our lives.
The song’s theme of happiness and positivity is reinforced by its fast-paced, upbeat melody. The opening bass notes set the tone for a lively party song that would have listeners on their feet in no time. The use of repetition in the lyrics adds to its catchy nature, making it easy to remember the words and sing along. Additionally, the brief pauses in the music before the chorus contributes to its energizing feel.
