Nah dude for the longest time the community was there but the thing that dragged it down was the fact that the optimisation went to shit. You couldn't play the game on an i7 at 30 fps late game.
I blame the community development initiative for this one completely. Development was handed over to them and re-conceptualisation was prioritised over running the game stable.
I tried the game recently and fair enough the game runs as smooth as butter. But the community suffered such drastic losses in the time it took for the developers to pull the finger. Barely any servers were populated. Things were looking up despite this, I could accept a small community
When I checked in I was met with a band of mediocre folks getting fucked. That shuffled from team to team. No one communicated a damn word in the few hours I was there and it felt like I was playing with bots. But no, this was now the norm!
I was disappointed. I tried to express my disappointment. And I got mobbed by the population within the server. They were all insulting me and telling me to shut up and making all sorts of excuses for their incompetence and anti-social practises. None of it hit home. This was a team game. They were at fault!
I tried to give people advice. I tried to command. I tried to get people talking to eachother just like the community of years past. The vote kick landed. 20/20. An astounding amount of people were circlejerking. And I was an independant thought. They wanted me gone.
They've succeeded. I uninstalled the game and don't think I'll ever be checking back again. That small little community is nothing but a malignant tumor on gaming and the quicker it lights up in flames the better.

This game is hands down the best multiplayer i ever played. I have spent thousands and thousands of hours in dota 2 and CS:GO. I played NS 2 for only 80 hours... However believe me I have never felt more immersed in a multiplayer. This game teaches you what teamwork relly means, it is frightening it has an awesome soundtrack it has such a fun gameplay. It is perfect in so many ways, yet the community is so small. This game deserves to be played by millions but at the same time I am glad I could be part of it, I am glad I found this gem of a game, and I will always treasure the memories in my heart. Thx Unknown worlds entertainment for creating this masterpiece <3
