Man! Woke up with this song in my head. Had to come and listen to it here. Great song from the early 80s. I remember my brother traveled on one of his many trips to N.Y. and on his return he had this on a cassette that he recorded from WBLS. Loved this song upon first hearing it and it still gives me that feel good vibe hearing it again.

A real ,Blast from the past ❤️ this tune - I’ve got this and 1,000s of other soul/funk /rare groove from back in the day. What a time to have lived through - just by pure chance, my mate Nev . M worked in a record shop so I used to get all the latest upfront US jazz funk and soul imports , UK promos and exclusive every day (which I still have and use when I play out).

Vinyl will never die.

It's impossible not to move your body when listening to such a great dance track. Incidentally David Joseph was in a group called hi - tension from north london in the late 70s. Phil Fearon of Galaxy fame was also in the group. There was one othe person who went onto sole fame just can't remember there name. Glad the group split up , we wouldn't have had such a dance classic as this otherwise!

This is a much mellower mix than I'm used to, very nice. The Larry Levan mix is a much more percussive mix that eliminates some of the keyboard, and that's what got most of the mix show play back in the day.
