Met David back in the day (also Jimmie Walker) while they were filming a Dr. Pepper commercial in my neighborhood.
Great memories. Couldn't have asked for two sweeter guys, fame not gone to their heads. Very gracious with hordes of fans gathered 'round, signing for everyone.
Well, everyone except me, b/c I didn't ask! What I did, though, was to go around the back way, sneak into an alley, and ended up on cam (and in the commercial! Haha). It was Jimmie and David, rollerskating down the block, whizzing past me, exclaiming "I'm a Pepper!"
I'm known as a hard rocker and happily so, but in truth, I loved/still love '70s radio.
Give me Donna Summer and any of these talents, any day. They never fail to raise a smile, or evoke a special memory or emotion.

We travelled from a small town in Nova Scotia to Strawberries in Boston once a month for new releases. We supplied all the local clubs. Always had stuff weeks ahead of the rest of the country.
