@stevie gilliam He wasn't involved with the franchise after Bloodline. Bloodline was supposed to be the last but since Dimension owned the rights , Clive Barker couldn't stop them from making more.

I agree with your sentiment. I have heard that Hollywood doesn’t wanna take chances anymore. They only wanna see dollars and couldn’t care about a creative and well told story regardless of what genre…. I hate most of the remakes today and nothing seems original any longer.

How about an origin story for the female Cenebite which from all I know is simply named that in Hellraiser 1 and 2. Amd 1 for Doug Bradley's Pinhead, which was touched on in 3, which was 1 of the few redeeming qualities of that film. Love your videos.

In the first movie while kristy send the cenobites away with the box butterball had the ceiling drop on him so why wasn't he trapped in our world? Of course I can't figure out why the house blew up or how it was intact in the sequel.

The new Hellraiser movie was meh. The original Hellraiser's protagonist in 1 and 2 were innocents thrown in to their situations by the evil around them. 4 gave some backstory as to how and why the puzzle boxes came in to being and the curse that was placed on the makers progeny down thru the years. The new Hellraiser's protagonist was a self centered/self destructive brat that had to consume most of the good people around her before she finally saw the error of her ways and the ending made it seem she got away with it just having to live with her decisions. Unsatisfying ending to me. I loved Hellraiser 1,2, and 4. As for the others they seemed like money grabs.

In the original novel,.The Hellbound Heart, Pinhead was a woman. Now true, Doug Bradley is an irreplaceable legend, but I can't wait to see a lady take on the role. I'm damned interested in how she'll pull it off.

If you say so…Stand by Me and the body are pretty much word for word. The Green Mile is nearly word for word. Of Mice and Men, pride and prejudice, the original Jurassic park is almost exact…the notebook, all those Dan brown books adapted into film…there are probably about the same amount that try to stay as close to the original IP as ones that have discrepancies in them.

@Crowe bros The mythology of the first two movies has nothing to do with the Abrahamic version of Hell. The dimension that the Cenobites inhabit is a parallel physical reality, not an afterlife. You don't get there when you die.

And 'Leviathan' is definitely not Satan, or anything related to that term. You end up in his realm if you mess with the box, and either get pain inflicted on you for eternity, or you get turned into a cenobite if you're deemed to have special "talents". Your morality, virtues, way of life, etc. play no part in this. The Chatterer cenobite, for example, was just a kid when he got transformed, as seen in H2.

IMHO, that's the best aspect of H1 and H2. There is this scary, alternate dimension with its monsters and god(s), completely alien to any human knowledge, that we know absolutely nothing about: has it existed forever, who/what is 'Leviathan', where did the box come from and what rules it follows, etc.

Starting from the third movie, they dropped this entire concept, unfortunately, and Hell is now your typical Biblical hell, and the cenobites are just some fancy looking demons; or in case of Pinhead, a zillionth copy of the same immortal slasher villain idea, another Jason or Michael Myers.

There may not have been a petition towards this end... but it does incentivise a proactive response seeking to gain "approval" in these times.
