Little tip: the mail added by the vanilla armour expanded is really good - it goes on the skin level so you can wear it under your main armour and it adds quite a lot of protection, especially if you manage to make it out of plasteel.... It does slow you down a fair bit, but that armour stacking is really powerful. I did a high-tech playthrough and even then I gave everyone plasteel mail to wear under their power armour because there's nothing else they can wear on the skin level that gives that much armour

Hey Mr Streamer!

People blink out of existence when they possess someone so don't worry so much about losing people mid combat, I think it might be like, a balancing thing? So that they aren't just standing still doing nothing while actively possessing someone.

Also, definitely look at, I think its Arcane Crafting(?). The Staves from the magic mod are probably my favorite weapon in the mod pack, they are such powerful weapons even if they ARE expensive. I don't know exactly how they work with Combat Extended though so you might wanna look at that in your test game.

Oh! Also, Faceless Transpose and Reflect abilities are SO useful, if you think youre going to get overrun, you can transpose a faceless into the middle of a pack of enemies, using transpose applies reflect, so they take next to no damage, and then you still have reflect to use AGAIN to take even LESS damage when the Transpose reflect wears off, plus, the enemy will then target the newly in their midst faceless so it can buy you some time. I don't remember the specific numbers or anything like that but I'd definitely suggest checking their abilities much more closely.

how about installing the armor racks mod so that you can have two sets of gear: one for everyday work and one for combat? since you know when the raids are coming, you will always have a chance to get suited up before the raids come

The "Royal Plate with a Cape" is good too in regard of temperature endurance. For the other plates wearers, you will have to fabric summer cape/winter cape, to help them feeling good through summer and winter.

you should get the life steal ability for the death knight. when upgraded it can aoe heal other pawns so 1 death knight flanked by 2 blade masters who also happen to be unkillable

I think the problem with the vanilla expended crossbow ammo is solved by messing around with the load order, it happened to me aswell, I couldn't craft any ammo for any of the weapons of VE, solved by putting the mod a little bit up in the load order

As a tip, the ability which lets you swap places with someone else is great for rescuing a friendly character who's getting too hurt, or a ranged character in melee, or similar.

Man I was so bummed about the Medieval stuff not working with CE. Saved me a lot of grief for my own playthrough. The armor seemed okay but having to stick to shortswords and maces really killed me. Just as an aside. Investing into crafting magic skills is huge, that way every mage can learn heal, blink and many other great skills. At advanced level you incredible passives for any fighters. You do need cloth for the mage scrolls though so be sure to set some up.

When you'll make scribing bench, you should make spell that can cool your freezerbfor summer and maybe spell that makes heat for the winter. They are cheap to make and quite efficient. :)

Devilstrand and Scribing will make it so you can get all the base mage spells, they're really powerful (especially blink) and add a lot of utility to all your magic characters. Also thanks for doing this series, I bought the game 4 days ago after watching the first part of this series, but learned the game/mods through this series and used your mods list. Do boars haul? If so then it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a few. They can eat corpses and grass so you'll only need to feed them when training them.

you should go for hammers instead of axes...axes and swords kill...hammers and maces give a better chance for capture and you really need to set 3 or 4 melee to actual def positions so you can use their abilities

Mr streamer here are a couple things that would be very useful to you:
Have all your mages learn Blink(basically phase strike but for mages), you need to research scribing
Learn the master spells
get a geomancer, theyre really really good

The bulk system doesnt seem very well tuned. Real live humans wore regular clothes, Gambians, AND plate mail Armour all layered over top eachother. They didn't do it all day obviously but they could definitely do it. The fact you cant even wear JUST plate in combat extended is silly.

I need to start by saying that I TRULY enjoy your streams, but dammit if it isn't frustrating as hell to hear you constantly complaining about no one doing the jobs you want them to do when your failure to understand how the job priority system works. That (and just about everything else you complain about in every series) can be alleviated by adding two mods and learning how to set pawns' jobs correctly.

One class you should keep an eye out is paladins. They can cast shields and do instant healing (unlike the druid heals which are over time), and their master scroll ability lets them bring back the dead

The paladin master scroll is holy wrath, they can shield and heal but not rez. Only priests get the resurrection master scroll ability, but priests have to be nonviolent and they cant cast shields. Also all mages can learn the the heal the paladin gets. Priest gets 'advanced heal' which is better and an aoe heal.
