Dillinger, like many of his peers, signed record deals with Death Row after being introduced to Dr. Dre by Warren G just as Dre began recording his seminal 1992 album, The Chronic. Dillinger contributed to The Chronic as well as his cousin Snoop Doggy Dogg's multi-platinum Doggystyle , Tupac Shakur's All Eyez on Me and the majority of the label's multi-platinum releases.
He released his first album Dogg Food with Kurupt as Tha Dogg Pound which went multi-platinum continuing Death Row's force as the most successful hiphop label. After Dr. Dre left the label, Daz became Death Row's main producer and was largely involved in Snoop's sophomore album Tha Doggfather and various compilations and soundtracks. After the death of Tupac Shakur, the departures of Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, Nate Dogg and the imprisonment of label CEO Suge Knight, Daz was the only major artist left on Death Row and mainly responsible for the work done in the label. In 1998 he released his solo-offering Retaliation, Revenge and Get Back for the first time using the more commercial-friendly artist name Daz Dillinger and even though the album reached gold status it was considered to be a commercial failure for the still high standards established by Death Row's previous releases.
Around 2000 Daz left the crumbling Death Row records and started his own imprint DPG Recordz. He released his second solo-album 2000's R.A.W. independently. Although the album didn't reach the success of his Death Row releases the album gained cult status in the underground West Coast rap scene. After that, Daz has kept on his business as CEO of his record label and has released several EP's and LP's with his name.
In 2002 Daz and his long time friend Kurupt parted ways because the latter rejoined Death Row and Daz's "arch-enemy" Suge Knight. Since that Daz and Kurupt have each released several dis records aimed at each other.
On April 13, 2005, Daz reunited with Kurupt through the peace meeting labelled "Protect the West", in which several other West Coast rap icons united to put aside their differences in hope of succeeding together.
Daz released an album on Jermaine Dupri's So So Def label titled 'So So Gangsta ' which's was released September 12, 2006

Shhhh
You know what I'm saying
Just ballin on their ass
They don't understand this shit
You know what I'm saying
You know what I'm saying
From Vallejo to the Beach gotta keep stacking them chips
Who could do it like I do it in and out about our paper
Cash longer than skyscrapers
Big bank take little bank
I bet a million to the fader
Creative illustrator
True indeed dominator
Ain't none greater
Chill a bong with the boss players
From Vallejo me and my homey be chillin' stacking G's upon the table
Rattle they brain with hurricane
Have 'em seeing thangs feeling strange
2 boss players straight running thangs
[B-Legit]
I learn to knock 'em down and with the piano we mashin'
We tryin' to do it right but now tonight they flashin'
My nigga D-Shot he be known for blastin'
And E is much worse 'cause he first to burst
If shit get started it's gon' get retarded
Can't dance with these niggaz 'cause they hogg hearted
It's just a little somethin' thought I let ya'll know
'Bout my players, my partners, my folks
My playa patna
My patna playa
My playa patna
My playa patna
My patna playa
My playa patna
[Daz]
Bouncin' in a Benz 600 on rims
Rollin' up ounces with my friends
Countin my ends
10s and 20s with thousands with millions just to spend
Have enough to do whatever
Dat Nigga Deatrow and ever
We run out of chronic, shrooms and drank nigga never
Catch me ballin' in the California sunny weather
Get my cash and I be a go getter
be -Legit and Dat Nigga Daz trend setters
[B-Legit]
I'm in and out these screws
Make moves like the mailman
If I can't get 'em wet I bet this long ass dick can (biatch)
I know I'm felt but tonight I'm off guerilla milk
Drink and blunts watch ho's pull super stunts
For months I be living like a rap steezy
See with my dudes perkin' off the heezy
be -Legezee with Data Nigga Daz Dezee
My playa pezee
The Bay to the L-be -Cezee
My playa patna
My patna playa
My playa patna
My playa patna
My patna playa
My playa patna
[Daz]
(B-Legit check it out)
I'm only in it just to get mine
For every quarter fifty cent piece and every dime
Grew up in a city where it was all about crime
Swerve the block clownin' bitches in my drop top
Playa muthafuckas always want to cock block
It ain't a thang all they want to do is watch a jock
Blaze a cigarette and feel the breeze of the bay
Everyday and all day this way
Break way playa hatas here I come
Strapped with game, niggaz and guns
In case you want to trip I ain't the one
Leave yo' baby mama srpung off dick
Let her know what's happening with this niggaz trick bitch
Switch the game from high to low
Dip inside the pussy slow to let you know

Ridin in cadillacs, impalas, lexus's, benz's all kind of shit bitch
What the fuck you got
And all we ever gonna do is play on

The song "Playa Partners" by Daz Dillinger feat. B-Legit is a celebration of their friendship and gangsta lifestyles. The lyrics tell the story of two bosses from Vallejo and Long Beach who have come together to stack their money and dominate their respective regions. They brag about their wealth and status, claiming to be trendsetters and true dominators. They talk about their fancy cars, expensive clothes, and extravagant lifestyles, but also assert that they're always ready to defend themselves with guns and violence.
The chorus of the song is an ode to their friendship, calling each other "playa patna" and "patna playa", a slang term used in the West Coast to refer to close associates and business partners. They emphasize the loyalty and respect they have for each other, stating that they would do anything to protect their own.
However, behind the bravado and swagger, there's also a sense of insecurity and paranoia. They are constantly on guard, watching out for potential enemies and haters who might try to bring them down. They also acknowledge that their lifestyle is risky and unpredictable, and that they could easily end up in jail or dead. Ultimately, the song is a tribute to the gangsta culture of the West Coast, where success is measured not only by money and power but also by the ability to survive in a violent and dangerous world.
